Pettitte went 14-8 last season with a 4.16 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP in 32 starts, so it's not like he's totally lost it on the mound. Rather, he misses family life and wants to be around for the growth of his kids. "There are so many things going on back home and I’m not there," Pettitte told Curry. "I can’t keep asking my wife to take care of everything."
