Right now it's around a field goal. At that number I'm on 'em with you.

We know the Jets won't look as good as they did last week, and the Pats won't be as tentative as they looked on MNF.

I am not playing this game, but NE defense is straight garbage. I also think that the Jets have the D to contain NE. I can appreciate where you are coming from regarding Sanchez vs Bellichoke

Rex Ryan has been waiting for this matchup since he signed with New York. He said he wasn't there to kiss Belichek's rings or watever and he has a plan to stop that offense. Remember how tough Baltimore played them in 2007 and should've won ?? The Jets defense looks great right now with Ryan.

I also think it's going to take a little while until the Patriots offense is in sync. We all saw them look just horrible against Buffalo monday and they have some problems to fix. They're biggest weakness is their defense!

Love the live home dog Jets +4 and ML!!

If you were lucky to grab the Jets +6.5 that's a major plus.
Personally I see the Jets winning SU.

Rex Ryan is ready, Jets defense is ready. And yeah the Pats defense has major question marks.

Would not suprise me to see the Jets win by 10-14 pts. BUT hey on any given Sunday...

Yes I think the Pats win and cover

Rex Ryan has the team going in the right direction, MUCH better coach than Mangini, and his defense is going to be great, one of the best in the league

BUT I dont think he will knock off the best in the division in his (and more importantly, Sanchez's) second game in. Brady needed the first game against the Bills to get going, and finished with one of the best statistical games of his career in only his first game back from knee surgery. I see the Pats offense looking a lot more impressive earlier on in this game.
On the other side of the ball, it is a known fact that young QBs struggle with the schemes thrown at them by Belichick. The Pats D for some reason has gotten slammed after the game against Buffalo, despite holding them to under 100 yards rushing and allowing only 4 3rd down conversions. The biggest problem last season was getting off the field, and their defensive backs appear light years better than last year. The one weakness they seemed to have was against the screen, which the Jets indeed like to run. However, the screen was only successful because the Pats had double coverage on both TO and Evans the entire game, 2 of the better receivers the NFL has to offer. I can guarantee you that they are not as worried about Chansi Stuckey and the Jets receivers. I dont envision this be ing as close as the Buffalo game, where I was not surprised at all to see the offense struggle out of the gate. Think there is a decent amount of value with the Pats as they played a close game 1 while Sanchez picked up a road win in his first NFL start. I think he faces a much tougher challenge facing a Belichick-coached Patriots team than he did with Kubiak and the Texans

Scary ass game.

I definitely wouldn't be using the Pats in any survivor pool this week.

If I could find -3 at decent juice, I'd play the Pats. The "home dog" angle means nothing. Over the last dozen years home dogs are right at a 50 percent play. Betting away dogs is actually a little better angle.

the way you guys are talking the pats should not even show up

one game and you guys are saying the jets are just as good as the pats?

come on Belichek will have a great game plan for rookie qb .

not the same playing in Houston vs playing at home vs the pats in a div game . i think Sanchez will have a tuff game

so let me put it to you like this would you rather have

Brady and Belichek or

Sanchez and Ryan ?

laying a short number here i think the pats roll

If you like trends... the road team in this season series is 8-2 ATS (NE is 5-0) in the last 5 years. I didn't bother to go back any further.

Of course that doesnt mean anything to Rex Ryan, Mark Sanchez, or Bart Scott, I just thought this was a nice place to throw that stat out.

Do we look at week one as if it were 1/16th of the season. Or if it was 100% of the season so far. I'll take the first approach. It was a virtual pick game last year, in New York in week two. That was Cassel against Favre. I'll bet Brady against Sanchez is worth the points. The injuries on defense scare me. . .

I'm wit ya bad..

Rookie coach, rookie QB going against Belichick.. It seems like the Jets are everyones darling right now. Pats play one mediocre game, Brady looked good in the final quarter which what really matters..

Sanchez had three balls that should of been intercepted, one of his TDs was in blown coverage and Rex Ryan isn't going to bully Pats offense..

Pats open up the field. Pats or nothing for me.
