I won a contest a few years back and had slowly been rolling it over. Came time for the roll to almost be done and I was looking nice and decided to bet the entire amount on a huge favorite in MLB without handicapping it. Of course Johan lost that night and all my work (and money) was lost...

Can't remember the specifics, but I bet a pretty large (2TD+) fave in a college bowl game without even capping it.

They lost by like 60.

I think it was Bowling Green.

Bowling Green lost as small underdogs 7-63 last year to Tulsa if that might be what you were thinking of.

South Florida lost last year by 35 to Oregon despite being TD favorites too. I think I was on USC in that one.

Oh and I also offered like 6-1 on Reggie Bush winning the Heisman when offshore places had like 2-1 or something. Next game he scored like 5 or 6 TDs and cruised to the victory. Good thing I only allowed one $20 bet on that stupid line.

years ago the Pope was condemning the mob pretty hard. There was a story on the news about it and somehow a friend and I start arguing about it. I come out and say that the pope will be dead in a year, we bet $100. About 12 years later (like 2 years ago, whenever it was the pope died) I receive an envelope with no return address containing an newspaper article about the Pope's death.

Taking USC last Thursday night was on of the stupidest bets I have made in awhile. Home dog, getting 24.5 on a Nationally Televised game, with everyone and their mother on USC. God that was dumb.

The bet was made in about 1994, paid off in 1995, the Pope in question died in like 2006. He sent the article to bust my balls about the bet.

Posted this before...Fla vs Fla St. in the Orange Bowl ..line was like -9.5 F ST. I thought long and hard about betting Fla, i just didnt see how the line could be that big. I ck the line at SIA a few minutes before the game and they have it -13 and the best number ANYWHERE was like -10.5.......So i unload.
I dont remeber exactly but 45-3 pops into my head right now....lol

I also bet a guy he couldnt jump over a canal on my motorcycle after he saw me do it and was saying anybody could ( i was like 13 yrs old) shouldnt have done that, he took me up on it.and he didnt make it. That bet cost a few hundred...well my Dad anyway...I think i worked the next 2 summers for nothing paying him back...
