This year Mass has some relevant issues, relatively speaking. At least more relevant than voting for the local rats or either Presidential buffoons.

1.Abolish income tax - Ill vote no.
2.Decriminalize weed - Ill vote yes.
3.Ban dog track racing - Ill vote yes.

Yeah. The weed one is pretty compelling. I admit. Take the stuff, slap on the wrist. Little fine, yada yada. Instead of locking the person up for the night and having it hit their record.

Nobody should have their future screwed for taking hit off the bowl.

These referundums seem to never pass thru the legislature.Power to the people.

Don't let JoeC hear you guys, he'll have a conniption.

As it should be, a petty offense.

Here in hillbilly country:

Prop: Establish a state lottery.....YES

Prop: Require the State Legislature (a "citizens' legis) to meet at least ONCE a year to pass law. They are only required to meet bi-yearly...YES

Cops can be cool sometimes. But they don't have to be, that's the thing.

It's not like everyone on the police force has never done a drug.

Getting caught with stuff individually bagged up is what you want to avoid, because then they can nail you for intent to distribute.

I'll be voting "No". I don't go to the track anymore, but I used to be involved in greyhound racing. First as a handicapper and eventually as an owner of a few litters. Certainly there are some bad people in that business who have little regard for the animal, but the vast majority are dedicated to the care of the dogs they handle. The kennel operators have a network of contacts and do everything they can to find adoptive home for dogs whose racing days are over. Most of the proponents of the ban distort and lie massively about the facts regarding the number of dogs euthenized per year. One of the reasons (and there are others) I'll be voting "No" is that I don't think they should be allowed to get away their lies.

I have four dogs so Ill admit bias.I dont dispute your assertion but I just dont see the necessity. We have horse racing and the biggest lottery in the country, foxwoods and moheghan sun down the road and last time I checked I was still gambling steadily online.I also get the feeling doggies are a little more disposable than horses.Regulate horses closely and give up on the dogs.

They wont build a casino here (which incidently passed a similar referendum ballot yet died a bureaucratic death) citing the issues of depravity/moral bankruptcy as well as addiction and finacial ruin yet here we are, awash in other forms of degeneracy.

State:
1) “Shall there be a Constitutional Convention to amend or revise the
Constitution of the State?”

Yes, tired of liberal judges writing laws
