Any chance Roddick loses in the 1st round at the French Open?

Absolutely. By him only being a -115 tells me he is going to lose. I would never bet him here.

Looks like he's not as good as he used to be. The line does look like the bookmakers don't think he can take this opening round match.

roddick has certainly dropped a bit, another important factor is i believe he plays worse on clay, since he has more of a power game that the hard court favors

Well, the French Open really doesn't favor American players. It favors quicker, more agile players who have a finesse game. It is not like a Wimbledon, where you can win with a dominating serve, you have to have a decent return game and not rely on power. Roddick relies too much on power and won't win 2 matches in this tournament.

I was surprised the line was so low. I have no idea who he's playing but I wouldn't touch that match.

They played two months ago in Miami ( hard ), Andy won easily in straight sets. Martin is an average clay court player, If Andy play decently he will win.

Plus he has a "support" from Maria ( Sharapova )

As I said, the line was low for a reason. Awful fishy how the 5 seed in the tournament is just about a pick em to a no name who Roddick had diposed of 4 times easily. I hope none of you got sucked into betting Roddick.

He had a bum ankle...sprained it in Germany a couple weeks back...part of the reason why he was the dog.

Also, rankings and such usually dont mean much in clay season...such a specialty surface. For example: James Blake (#8 in the World) is nearly a 1-3 dog against the young Spaniard Almagro (#41).

Should be the Nadal Invitational for the rest of the way...i beleive he has won 59 consecutive matches on the Clay.

Anybody get their bets voided/refunded because Roddick retired?
