I've taken a few Carnival Cruises out of Galveston in the last couple
years.
They've had one poker table which was great, because the
players were idiots (NL Hold EM $1/$2).
It was one of the electronic kind where you play live with other
players, but there is no human dealer. Everyone sits at a table
where everything is done on a flat video screen.
Not my favorite way to play, but the donks made it worthwhile.
I did Carnival a while back and the food sucked, the people were ignorant animals and the gambling area was at the front of the ship, the bumpiest area on the ship. We/Wife and I did very well at 5/10 holdem(only poker game in the "casino") That did not make up for the rest of the experience.
heading out on one next month, most likely just get hammered.
last time I played blackjack on a cruise some guy told me "if we were playing in vegas right now, you would have got your ass kicked by now".
Wasn't even sure what he was talking about. I was hammered and just watched the dumb fuck split Kings. Told him that's not too smart. He did win the hand cause the dealer broke.
There are some dumb-fuck gamblers on these boats.
I would have whipped his ass, but wasn't sure if they would have had me washing dishes the rest of the trip.
