Brett Favre's favorite receiver, Antonio Freeman is slated to start at split end against the Lions. Is it too early for "Free" to make a difference here?

The line remains at GB -6 1/2.

Making a difference, I don't know. Functioning in the offense and being productive, yes. Freeman has only known one offense since he came into the NFL. Last year, he was very productive with Philly, who runs the same offense. He won't look like he has even been gone. And, Favre should be relieved. He wanted Freeman to stay last year and has to be happy that he has someone with experience that he can trust with his route running.

I think it is to early for him to help.

Not sure why everyone is on the Packers this week but I may jump on them to. Need to research more.

Green Bay's chances of having a good year might as well depend upon Lynn Swann and Cliff Branch coming back too. Green Bay is the IBM of the stock market. They were "it" 30-years ago. Times have changed. Next.

Freeman is a stop gap measure. He wasn't that fast to begin with, and now has lost even that speed. But he's a savvy veteran, who Favre is comfortable with.
He was a good pickup for the Packers, but he'll be the team's No. 4 wideout when Driver and Ferguson come back in the next couple of weeks.
By the way, I don't understand Advalorem's comment at all. It doesn't make any sense. The Packers have been good from the mid '90's.
