Chalk, glorious chalk. Boston is actually -200 in this one, despite Derek Lowe (5.47 ERA) taking the mound. Justin Miller (4.38 ERA) has been serviceable for Toronto when healthy, plus he’s got the tattoos working.
Here’s the rub, though: Toronto is uncharacteristically mailing it in. The Jays have lost 10 of their last 12, albeit to relatively strong competition. The Roy Halladay injury was deflating, as was the firing of Carlos Tosca. Still, we’re talking Derek Lowe here.
