its all about position my man, toss em all day long oop, but once you get position open up your starting requirements to call and raise. Where a K10 might suck UTG, if you are on the cutoff and their havent been any limpers go ahead and raise (heck you can raise and punish the limpers as well).
If I were in somewhat early position and UTG raises im most likely tossing that 56s, but near or on the button ill call and hope I nail a flop, but the biggest mistake I see guys make here are when they just get a small piece (pair their 5 6 ) and then go and call bets on the flop. Sure if you have a great read you might be ahead, but falling in love with these hands will cost you nothing but money over the long run

With any pair, the odds of hitting trips on the flop are 7.5:1. So it's easy to go the whole game without hitting. I sometimes fold small pairs after a big pre-flop raise for that reason.
After the flop, the odds of hitting trips on the turn are 22.5:1. Same for the river (22:1). The odds of hitting trips on EITHER after missing the flop are 10.9:1. So NEVER chase unless you're getting insane odds.
