As far as I know it was never scheduled for Friday night this year. Possibly some may have just assumed because the torunament was played on Friday night last year it would be the same this year. I know there may have been a post early on mentioning Friday night. Right now the Bash Dinner is scheduled for 9PM Pacific time Saturday night August 20th.
I have asked Glenda to move the tourney from 6PM PST back to 1PM PST so players will have time to finish well before the evening festivities.
Note: Regarding guests, I think everyone will get to play, should this thread end up with more than 60 players promising to show up in Las Vegas and play, I will ask Glenda for one or if necessary two extra tables. Last year we had 43 entrants, I believe we will have a bigger tournament this year, but no sure we will actually break 60 entries.
BTW. It is not to late to Email or call Glenda at the Golden Nugget and get a comped room for the Bash. gtangen@goldennugget.com or phone 1-800-777-4658 Ext 8337 (or just ask for Glenda).

Dealers grind out a very good living dealing in live games. Tourneys are where they "learn" how to deal and most professional dealers avoid them like the plague.
Don't feel sorry for Vegas Poker or Table Games dealers and feel you have to "over tip" them. They make a good living doing what a trained monkey could do in time and all they do is bitch about tourists "behind" there backs.
