Skybook Member Update:
August 24, 2990. Skybook is pleased to announce that its software migration has completed successfully. We may, however, experience intermittent website access problems, and therefore ask for your continued support and patience.

As of this writing, our site is operational again and we are taking wagers over the website. Telephone and Email support will be restored asap.

Stay tuned for details on the benefits of the improvements.

I am getting ready to post up but am reading some discouraging issues about employees being let go/not paid. I realize every person who is fired often has bad things to say, but could we hear Skybook's side of the story?

For the record..

Skybook is definitely staying in business with no end in sight as to how many more years they will be in business (like all books).

Tonight there are some tech issues that showed up unexpectedly. On behalf of Skybook management I am humbly asking all Rxers to cut them a bit of slack tonight while they iron out these unforeseen tech problems.

Please try to consider any rumors posted at various forums by ex-employees of Skybook with a grain of salt. Naturally no one wants to see anyone lose their job including me but it is an occupational hazard not only prevalent in the Offshore Sportsbook industry but just about any industry that employs salaried personnel.

Cutbacks or an occasional firing happen almost everywhere and are certainly not something anyone at Skybook management takes lightly.

Bottom line is Skybook will be the same Skybook it always has been only better, very soon. Primarily they just need a brief amount of time to make some software changes, that are all intended to improve their already excellent customer service.

Regarding their actual location, all I can say is they are still here in San Jose, Costa Rica..The GM is still the GM, Mike is still a supervisor in CSD etc.

Right now they are just experiencing some transition problems with their software. All tolled over the years no single book has given away more gifts and prizes to Rx posters than Skybook has. Please keep that in mind for a day or so until they can get back running on all cylinders once again..

I will try to keep the forum updated tomorrow morning if Skybook (Mike) doesn't post in the meantime..

Your patience is very much appreciated, wilheim...

Not a big secret that they moved into betez, clients like to know where there money is being sent. Smart move to save money. Who needs all the expenses a stand alone office brings. Just hope the use there own lines guy and not some vanilla pay per head numbers.:103631605

For the record

I just spoke to Mike at Skybook and things are starting to come together but I will leave it to Mike to make a post soon. He was just going out to grab a quick sandwich (lunchtime here in CR) and will be posting an update asap.

Thanks, wil.

I am pleased to inform you that everything is going well with the software upgrade and facility change at Skybook. Sports, Casino are available online, and customers are enjoying some of our new wagering options in our call center. As, always, our toll free phone number is 888-759-2665 (1-888-SKY-BOOK).

There have been some issues along the way, as is to be expected, but all operations are all getting back on track. We are working to restore Poker room access very soon.

Customers may contact us with any questions toll free to 1-888-759-2665, via live chat, or via email to support@skybook.com.

Thank you for your support, and understanding. Here's looking forward to another great Football season! Stay tuned for details on improvements to our Free Half Point program too ;) :103631605

Sincerely,
Mike
