ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) - A former school aide pleaded guilty to a dozen charges for assaulting children on a school bus.
According to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, a criminal investigation into 30-year-old Kiarra Jones was launched after a parent of a nonverbal child with autism reported that her son came home with bruises on his foot.
Upon contacting the transportation director for Littleton Public Schools, the district attorney’s office said surveillance from the bus camera system was reviewed. They said the footage showed that the boy had been physically assaulted by Jones on the bus multiple times, dating back to February 2024. In all, they said three total victims were identified.
Jones was reportedly fired from her bus aide job following her arrest in April 2024.

On Monday morning, the attorney’s office said Jones initially pleaded guilty to all charges, but shortly before 9 a.m., Jones pleaded guilty to 10 felonies and two misdemeanors.
The charges included 10 counts of third-degree assault of an at-risk child and two counts of child abuse.
Jones’ sentencing is scheduled for March 18 at 2 p.m., and according to the attorney’s office, each felony count carries a maximum sentence of 1.5 years in prison.
“This defendant was placed in a position of trust with defenseless children, and she clearly abused that responsibility,” District Attorney Amy Padden said. “Her actions are inexcusable. This resolution allows the victims and their families to move forward without the trauma of a trial, while still ensuring accountability.”

I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the Black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self- improvement by hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would most undoubtedly be poorer as a nation.

"It's about as bad as it gets." Mississippi prosecutors will pursue capital charges against Daricka Moore, 24, accused of killing 6 people — including a 7-year-old girl and church pastor — in a Friday night rampage across rural Clay County.

According to Flowood Police Chief Eric Zetterholm, the victim pulled into the Chick-fil-A and was shot in the foot.

However, the victim was not injured because the round did not make it past their steel-toed boot.

Kyle Maurice Ramos, 39, was arrested in connection with the shooting.

Ramos is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Ramos is being held at the Rankin County Jail without bond while awaiting an initial appearance in Flowood Municipal Court.

Ex-Daycare Worker Confesses to Suffocating Infant, Attempting Another Murder.
Savage, Minnesota police arrested 18-year-old Theah Loudemia Russell, a former worker at Rocking Horse Ranch Childcare Center, after she confessed to intentionally suffocating 11-month-old Harvey Muklebust to death on September 22, 2025, and twice trying to kill a 4-month-old girl there. Hired just three weeks earlier, Russell told investigators she acted for attention, a pattern linked to her history of fake 911 calls, setting fires, and erratic behavior. Scott County authorities plan second-degree murder and attempted murder charges soon, while Harvey's family vows to fight for justice amid grief over their 'blessing' lost forever. The daycare's license remains suspended.
