Playoff Record 0-3
After this play, fade my brains out. I have been God awful in these playoffs doing everything wrong. However, this was the game I was looking forward to for a couple of days. This will be my biggest play of the baseball playoffs by far, as I don't anticipate feeling this good about a game. 4% of my bankroll on this game.
I felt the Angels would play off a bit of adrenaline for game 1, but the fatigue/complacency factor sets in tonight. Angels came into Chicago hoping for the split, and they got it. They have to have a sense of relief tonight, and get complacent and be happy about their game 1 win. We've seen teams in the playoffs in every sport, go on the road hoping for the split, win game 1, and then drop game 2. We even saw it in the NBA playoffs. I think this trend continues tonight.
Chicago's bats were just a little rusty yesterday and they have a solid pitcher going tonight. This is a must-win for the Sox, they do not want to go down 2 games to none, and head out to LA. Chicago is at home, they have a solid lineup, and the lefthanded Buehrle should keep the Angels scrappy offensive attack in check by holding on runners with his left handed pickoff move. Plus, he is underrated by some anyway. Washburn's start was pushed back to today because of strep throat.
Chicago can put up some runs in bunches and tonight is setting up for a solid ass kicking, and I'll be putting some on the run lines at -1, -1.5 and -2.5 on the Sox as well. Very small play on the Over as well.
