He is S O F T. The media hype on both him and Parker this year was way overblown. However, we should have expected nothing less from the media. I still have yet to see a freshman as talented as Anthony Davis was.

As a diehard sixer fan ....Im not hoping for wiggins. Seen enough of him and Parker to realize Parker is the better player. Wiggins seems timid and not aggressive enough. Maybe that will change and he will become a star but i see him as a slasher type player who is very limited on the perimeter.

these kids was playing high school ball last year and now on the big stage, i dont care how good they going to be down the line, they need more time on the college level for a coach to fine tune their game and get ready for the nba, the worst thing to ever happen was to set the rules for the one and done kids

He will get lost in the nba shuffle like Thomas Robinson unless he stays to get good at one thing or another. Jump shot, post-up, rebounding, off the dribble, defense, something. As is he just has quickness advantage. Thats not gonna work in the nba.

A lot of us agree. The successful NBA guys stepped up when it mattered the most. Horford, Noah, heck, even Melo was pretty successful.

Not saying Wiggins is gonna be a bust, but his confidence might take a hit if he leaves for the draft too soon.

If he wants to be successful at the next level, he better find some aggressiveness. 6 shots today is simply unacceptable. He had no impact on the game what so ever. He had 4 turnovers and 4 points. That is not what "star" players do. They make it happen some way or another.

I don't think most of these kids care about getting better.

Its about getting paid. Period.

The vast majority of these kids are out of the league, playing overseas, or hang around as a marginal player.

You mentioned Thomas Robinson, college stud and Top 5 pick. A complete irrelevance in the NBA. League is littered with them.

In a way it pretty sad that their high school work is what they are value at for the high bucks in the nba with only 1 yr of college

I believe Durant was drafted before Davis. Besides, when Davis was a freshie, he averaged a double double, was averaging around 16pts even though he was a 3rd option, shot over 50%, and was a defensive beast.

KD when he was a freshie had no idea how to make his teammates better.

Wiggins won't get lost in the shuffle, and will be an all-star. He will be on the all-defensive team for 10 years in a row. He needs to develop an alpha dog mentality. Wiggins tried too hard to be one of the guys. I'm a KU homer, and he's one of the most polite and team first guys that we've had a KU. Absolutely love him as a person, and he will be successful in the NBA.

KU homer.

We would have never known unless you pointed that out. Thanks.

No denying that. The problem is, he deferred to Selden and Embiid too much. This game, instead of taking over, he coasted. For fucks sake even Jamari had more attempts than him!!!!

Wiggins sucked this game. But he still averaged 17+ points a game as a freshman. The dude is an athletic specimen, just needs to learn the game. He'll be a top 3 pick. Someone who puts up those numbers that looks mediocre has a lot of upside.

What does Durant getting drafted before Davis have to do with anything? Durant was 26 and 11 a game! Davis was 14.2 a game and Durant averaged more boards a game. KD also was just shy of 2 steals and 2 blocks a game.

Durant has been the best freshman in the last 20 years and I don't think it is all that close.
