He told us why he's retiring boys; "he mentally fatigued"

Lucky for Luck he didn't have to work a real job

:)

He's playing again within a year somewhere else probably , after the mental issues are gone etc.

I thought that this was going to be the Colts year.

Pretty much left his team high and dry. THe team has to be secretly pissed.

Yea you don't do that to your team like that.....he's had to have contemplated this for months you don't just all sudden do this unless something is mentally wrong with him. I get if he can't perform the way he wants all that, but you don't do this 2 weeks before the season starts when you're the #1 player on your team. That's just bad bad for your character going out like this. And I heard he called out the organization for never addressing the O line which resulted in reasons for his decision. Get the F outta here! I'm sure there are many many players in the league who aren't "mentally" or "physically" able to do what they want to do, but they don't leave their teams high n dry like this.....end of the day my opinion it's "fuckin BS!" I respected Luck a lot for his game and the way he went about the game and respected the game....no more! He's a piece of shit now sorry

my clock is stuck on 420 time to hit this bong

Guys took a beating & said to heck with it...............

Physical toll on Andrew Luck through 6 NFL seasons:
» Torn cartilage in 2 ribs
» partially torn abdomen
» a lacerated kidney that left him peeing blood
» at least 1 concussion
» a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder
» and this mysterious calf/ankle issue that led to this
Left out botched episiotomy

It's crazy to think he could actually take a few years off, come back, and still probably earn another $200 million before he retires again.

He could take two years off, get healthy, announce he's ready to play again. Half the league would be lining up to offer him 100 million.

I wonder if the Colts thought about placing him on the IR with his calf injury and then let him see how he feels after the season. It probably would have been a better look had they done that.

Players can, ya know, be soft and retire now. If you were playing in the early 80's when average contracts were around $90k you kinda had to be tough to stick around. $90k in 1980 was good money but even adjusted for inflation its a fraction of what the average nfl player makes now let alone an Andrew Luck.
