</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Finnegan, as his wont, was playing dirty. The two players got into a shoving match the play before, and Finnegan took a jab to Johnson's face coming off the line. Johnson responded with a couple of haymakers, and both players were given the heave-ho. The Texans did a nice job of moving Johnson around all game, and he finished with nine catches for 56 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. There is a chance that Johnson could face a one-game suspension for the incident, but we've seen nothing to suggest that it's a likelihood.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Neither will be suspended. Most players likely would've been banned at least one game if they reacted to Finnegan as Johnson did, but the NFL's reigning receiving yardage leader is an ambassador for the game, so he gets a pass. The league will keep close tabs on the Finnegan-Johnson matchup when they do battle again in Week 15. Expect both to be on their best behavior.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"I think he's been absolutely amazing," Kubiak said. "I think it's kind of flown under the radar. This guy has played with a hurt ankle all year long, except for opening day." Johnson missed just one game with a high ankle sprain but has managed to suit up for every game since Week 5 despite obviously being at less than 100 percent. He ranks fourth in the NFL in both yards and receptions.

But there's no reason to increase the wear and tear on his ankle with two more days of practice on the horizon. Coach Gary Kubiak confirmed that Johnson is expected to return to practice Friday.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Kubiak doesn't expect Johnson to do much on Friday, still labeling him a game-time decision. His other comments suggest, however, that Johnson is in no real danger of missing the game. A.J. needs 284 yards over the final two games to become the first receiver in NFL history with 1,500 yards in three consecutive seasons. Kubiak confirms that the record is meaningful and has been "on our mind" this week.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Johnson won't practice this week, and will decide Sunday morning whether he'll play against the Jaguars. A.J. is a competitor, so we'd guess he'll be out there unless he's at less than 70 or so percent. Getting Week 16 off couldn't hurt his chances. Johnson also didn't practice at all this past week.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>He'll presumably be held out of Wednesday and Thursday's practices, then try to give it a go on Friday. Coach Gary Kubiak will hope for a "tap on the shoulder" from Johnson, leaving his availability up to the receiver. At this point, Johnson appears to be very questionable to start against the Jaguars.
