griffin beat both rampage and shogun at over +200 odds. its only a 3 rd fight. griffin is a battle tested lhw fighter. silva isn't fighting no sandman irvin here. should be a very entertaining fight.

Got my money on Anderson already. Forrest's best chance is lay n pray which Dan Henderson was able to do to Silva for a round. If Hendo couldn't consistently get him down and avoid being finished then I don't see Forrest doing it. Hendo was a 185/205 guy so he was bigger than the average 185lber at the time also.
The Spider is too quick & will pick Forrest apart on the feet and avoid takedowns pretty well making sure Forrest eats knees when he shoots.
The clinch is Anderson's home which is normally an advantage for Forrest with his dirty boxing.
Yes weight difference may be an issue but Anderson is just too quick & technical with too many skills for it to matter. Remember he beat Franklin 2x (now a LHW), Hendo (fights at LHW), & Irvin so he's fought bigger guys before...with more skills than Forrest.

People are down on Anderson because he hasn't finished fights but his opponents haven't given him a chance choosing to fight scared & not over commit. That's lead to boring fights but ones in which Anderson easily one. Had this fight been after he KO'd/sub'd Marquardt, Franklin, Hendo, Irvin in a row then this line would be around -500 or so. It still may end up around -400 by fight time.

Griffin lacks KO power. He needs to learn how to throw power punches. I agree Silva will keep it standing and pick him apart.

It should be an exciting fight though. Griffin will be scared to get hit.

In my opinion, Anderson is the better fighter based on technique and skill. What keeps me away from Anderson is that fact that Forrest cut down from 225. The size difference might be just too much for Anderson.

I agree with Griffin's lack of KO power however for some reason he seems to actually ENJOY getting hit. He seems to always stick his chin out there & trade with pretty much everyone

Fuck that I have to take skill over size this time.

That was just one of the pics...he dwarfed JZ and looked as big as Feijao (LHW) & Big Nog (HW). Normally Spider comes in with sticks for arms & legs but he's showing a little beef in the pics

At the same time, having to cut so much cost him in the Evans fight. You could tell he was ready to kill for a sandwich and Powerade at their weigh-ins

Only think keeping me away from Silva is the -380 or whatever it's up to now
