watching these games is just getting harder and harder, unless you like commercials

between yellow flags, scheduled timeouts, reviews, subjective penalties and ref conferences, injury timeouts and the occasional stoppage just to have another fucking stoppage, the game has NO FLOW

it's painful at times

It's awful

Right now I don't mind it because I have so many games I can watch. Primetime isolated games I can't really watch though.

When you factor in the above with the declining attention spans, it is no wonder the NFL is beginning to promote fantasy and even gambling more than ever.

Flag, injury, timeout, commercial, challenge, flag, clock run down, flag, timeout

Penalties are the killer.....3rd and 15.....Bailed out by a defensive holding automatic 1st down bullshit

it can be too much at times, but if we watch some soccer matches.... really, the fake shit they pull in soccer should be outlawed

love both games, though

I started a thread a few years ago saying nfl product garbage and everyone yelled at me.

Redzone channel masks how bad an afternoon of nfl football is, but the night games bring back a quick reminder.

Through 3 weeks.. 730 accepted penalties, and yes that's a record.

The injuries and timeouts have always been there. It has accelerated but a lot of it just has to do with people don't have the attention span to sit through some completely meaningless game between 2 mediocre teams unless they have a financial interest in or or they're a diehard fan.

Football really isn't a nonstop action game. You only have about 10 minutes of play in 3 hours. Now that we have RedZone, multiple games, this is just way more jarring than it used to be because of more consumer options.

Atleast at home or in a bar you don't need to watch the game at all times. That Saints/Cowboys last minute took like 10 minutes and had 3 commercials. They had a commercial with 15 seconds left after a punt.

What the fuck do people who pay to go to these things do?
Especially you folks who don't root for a team like the Patriots.

I don`t trip on injuries......I look at it this way.....These guys are going full speed with shoulders pads and a helmet....That`s it.

I expect plenty of injuries the way these guys hit with limited protection.

It`s the penalties that kill the game and a bet...lol.

UFC should just run some free fights during the game.

Make the guys fight, then when the NFL goes back on, they stop fighting. Commercial comes, they fight again. Seems like that would work.

I got a new rule.....Even though I hate penalties.....Players that ask for a flag should get flagged.....I hate when a player makes a gesture of throwing a flag....That`s bullshit.

Well that kills the game.....Every time a receiver doesn`t make a catch he gestures to the Ref for a flag.....Stop begging.

I want a whole lot less penalties. Starting with the celebration stuff.

I think if there's no advantage gain or lost, there's no penalty. Stop with all the defensive holding calls

Eliminate the need for drama classes on the line. The D can move, the offensive line can't, just like it was played the first 100 years.

A finger grazing the helmet is not a blow to the head
