Didn't read the whole thing closely. Not a poker guy.
What I want to know is...... If someone had some really big, heavy duty nuts, they would have tied internet sports wagering into that. I know New Jersey has been talking about sportsbooks for quite a while and have not got it passed.
However.... possible dumb move..... the article says:
"Internet gambling also needs to court the corporate world. Partnerships with prominent organizations, such as partypoker’s sponsorship deals with the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, can lend credibility and exposure to online gambling."
Those teams are too close and might not be listed in the rotation if NJ could get started. But why would they "need to court the corporate world" when that would clearly be a road block?
