An Impeachment Trial Is Just A Political Farce

Unless Republicans want to see Trump barred from ever again holding public office – and there are some who see that as the only path to reclaiming the Republican Party – there’s little point, politics aside, to an impeachment trial. If Trump committed a crime, simply have the Justice Department pursue it. Otherwise – get over it.

Just “getting over” Trump’s numerous and blatant crimes is not an option in a true democracy.

Trump will be impeached in the Senate and continuously pursued by multiple agencies on the state level over the next 4-5 years.
