All the fees seem very reasonable except:

quote:
Dormant Card Charge $5.00* Debit cards that have had no activity within a 30-day period will have this fee deducted from their balance.

Can you avoid that by just not having any money on the card? And if you then put money on the card do they take off the dormant card change for previous months?

Good question lakerfan. I never read the terms for that. I would guess if no funds then no fee, but need to find out. Also, this means that one needs to make certain he/she can get exact balance and have no remainder. The machines normally only pay in multiples of 5.

Bill-

Depends on the type of POS transaction....the one transaction I conducted was for north of 950 and it ended up cheaper than withdrawing the cash and making the purchase.

You are right though, it would be quite expensive to use the card for small transactions.

I used to think the card was expensive but all things considered, it's almost a bargain depending on how you choose to conduct your business.

tomarrows newspaper,

what bank in vegas was that? I'll be there soon and that could be a good option for more cash if I tap out.

you can take as much out of your debit card as you want per day, however you can only transfer 1000 per day from your account to your debit card, i have taken out over 3000 in a day from the atm.
