It's all based on "Family" factors.

Low crime rate ( aka how white the place is)
Low unemployment
Good schools

I wouldn't want to live in IOWA. Warm weather is far more important to me than good schools and lower crime. I like being near an ocean also. Iowa doesn't fit me at all. I'd rather be in Miami than IOWA, but Tampa would be better or Biloxi, Corpus Christi, even AZ, CA, CO.

Daytona Beach appeals to me. It is a bit away from Northern Cuba ( Miami), and on the non oiled side of Florida. Might not be a legal job to be found for over $8/ hour....but it's cheap and on the beach....worry about money later !

No list can factor in what you want. I'd love Hawaii, my brother would hate it since he is an avid snow skier.

Iowa lacks beaches and mountains and has Shit winters. I guess you can get a decent job and not have to lock your doors, though !

No way you make a list that fits all. It could be customized pretty easily....check off the stuff you want most

warm year round weather
mountains
coastal
jobs
schools
fishing/hunting/boating
cheap/ or you don't care about cost of living much
East or West coast

etc.

I like the PIZZA RANCH in Ames........and it's close to DesMoines and Ankeny, as well as Livermore.

Y'all Iowa Pussies move out because of the 20 degree below weather in like Jan/ Feb.

case closed !

Even Fishhead owns most of the state already, and moved away, not to even to mention Craig Guberud from Davenport !

I was married to a girl from Marshalltown Iowa once in my old life (the pre getting sober life I no longer live in now, since 1990). In fact it was my drinking that caused us to split up back in the 80s. I was in denial about the problem and it cost me everything I had including a beautiful Iowa farm girl who was the best thing in my life up until then. I could easily live in Iowa as cold weather does not bother me (within reason, no Siberia for me, but Iowa, no problem).

I once lived for six months in Northern Mississippi not to far from Memphis and the humid summers were worse than the North East winters IMO. One state that is to cold for me is Vermont, where in some areas they have brutally cold and windy winters..

Today, I would rather live on Cape Cod than anywhere else in the US..

wil..

No I am not joking. I love Ames and would live there in a heartbeat. To each his own.

Relax old man, I have AMES in my top 30, right behind Livermore and right ahead of Reno..............just not a TOP TEN town/city in my opinion.

Oh, and yes, I have Iowa City in my TOP 20 sir.

GOOD DAY,
FH
