I don't drink Starbucks coffee or any coffee at all from anywhere but their spinach egg and feta cheese wraps are great. So is their hot chocolate.

Not a coffee drinker, but it seems like most people go to Starbucks for everything but a plain coffee.

Starbucks is a much better choice than Dunkin. At Starbucks you put your own milk and sugar in, they always have comfortable seats and newspapers. Despite what other people say, if you ask for a large, you get their largest size, unlike Dunkin Donuts. And despite complaints about price, it is still under $2 -- not bad, though obviously a lot more than at home

When out of the house, the gas station is usually the best

I hate the coffee too. Get a tall white chocolate mocha with whip cream. Its got the caffeine and tastes unreal.

socialized democracy at its finest in France. Germany is the same way. Its the direction Obama is taking us. More red tape means higher prices.

So long as people are willing to pay that, it is the free-market price

Starbucks is a luxury. Every dollar the government raises from something like that is one less dollar they need to raise from property taxes and income taxes, which for most people are no luxuries. If Obama could pull that off, it would be a great boost to most Americans

Of course I have no clue about the French economic system and you could be talking out of your ass for all I know

Starbucks is the AOL of coffee. They created an industry and soon after became ubiquitous. They marketed a product and the people loved it, for awhile. Now people have become more choosy in their quest for a caffeine fix. Its almost in vogue to disrespect the once king of coffee by choosing a local shop or any number of nationwide chains.

Starbucks is responding, finally. They have started opening stealth coffee shops. These shops are designed to appear as a local independent shop. It might work, until people cry out "we won't get fooled again."

Personally, I think their coffee is good. But I hate their politics. They are the epitome of the apologize for making a profit, save the planet non-sense you see coming from Seattle .

I'd say Dunkin' Donuts predates Starbucks, by a wide margin, but they were more basic.

I hate Starbucks, don't like DD.

I really like Starbucks' Caffe Verona:

Caffè Verona® by Starbucks Coffee

Starbucks' most popular coffee, Caffè Verona® is a versatile, complex blend combining great Latin American and Asia Pacific coffees with a touch of Italian Roast. Great in a coffee press, drip brewer or even as espresso.
