Am I the only one on this board that loses money?

I am new to this board. I have been betting for about a year, mostly on NFL, and am down about 1 GR.

I do not know if this is a taboo question. How does everyone make money? Does anyone use an information service like "The Duke" or any other similar organization that run infomercials on Saturday and Sunday morning?

I've done somewhat well in college foots over the last 5-6 years. In the end, every other sport ends up being a donation on my part-with an occasional exception of NHL playoffs.

Fish, with such a high % of winners hanging out here, why do you think books still come here and court our buisness. Several have used this venue to launch their book only to get the worst of it. I would book this crowd carefully and not give them much free to throw back at me.

No KevinLA, you're not alone, 99.9 of all that attempt it lose longterm, this includes wiseguys..they too will go broke at least a handfull of times over their lives(the fortunate ones have friends to extend a line of credit and the networking to grind a living).

Kevin, learn poker, put pen-to-pad, or build golf courses is my advice..laying 11/10 is no option.

Perhaps they should but a simple look into the sports forums shows that they don't. I believe in baseball out of everyone tracked by TRK there were less than 5 people that made money.

Only 2 people made money in baseball. Both MC and I came out ahead. We also both happened to win in the playoffs. I was #1 in NCAA football as tracked by Heatwave before the RX booted me. In 2002 I won in the NFL, NCAA foots, NBA, NCAA foots.

The only season that I have lost at in over a year is the 2003 football season. I'd agree with Tekari in that over 90% of the people lose.

DickyW, Dime's Sharps, Jwdog, Sea, J2, EGD, Hansen, DonMarco , Sixth Sense, ATX, Nysports are others that have done quite well.

I see a lot of guys claiming to win but you never see their picks.
