It depends on how you look at things. If you think someone like Edward Snowden is a hero then you should probably look at Ali the same. Did he dodge the draft? Yeah but he could have easily joined the USO and got out of combat, that would have been the way to go, if he was just being a coward. Instead he gave up all his belts, millions of dollars, and had his reputation dragged through the mud, for political reasons. Right or wrong, he believed in his cause and stuck to his convictions, and lost a lot because of it. Things aren't always as simple as black and white, real life is much more complicated.
