Don't drink at all, never have. Seldon will you find a drinker among professional gamblers, at worst, a light drinker.

I RARELY drink - and usually when I do it is either when i am mystery shopping and have to get it as part of the visit or rarely at some party - usually a family one. because i ref so many games i drink a TON of gator/powerade - going thru at least 6 per week - and usually more. i don't drink that much for if i show up to ref a game smelling of alcohol i am in HUGE trouble

i also NEVER drink alcohol when at the Vegas Casinos. it's hard enuf to beat them when sober - but when shit faced - THAT is when you start to do stupi dthings like hitting on 20 in BJ. the casinos are NO dummies - they know what they are doing and they "give" you all of this free alcohol because they know in the long run - the more you drink - the more they will make.

10-15 years ago i was in Vegasw/friends a few days before the SB. these guys were drinking "Tom Collins'" like they were water and by the end of the night they were wasted and made so many stupid moves in BJ i had to leave the table for their dumb moves were hurting my play, too

a drink every now and then is OK and if you want to get wasted - that is fine, too, as long as you don't drive - but to mix alcohol and gambling is just a losing combination
