wtf.....you guys still drawing breath?.......i`ve had computer problems......but ii think i`m good enough to post some stuff...

some quick looks...i`ll try some rationale if i`m able tomorrow...

over 11.5 mckart/simms.....maybe a small play on mckart at around +300......simms is quicker.....mckart has fought much better guys...3 of mckart`s losses were to winky..one to strong comebacker verno phillips...haven`t seen mckart recently...maybe he`s done...i don`t know...he`s never been stopped..

having more problems with pop-ups...be back..

Simms doesn't impress me at all. he was lucky to win his title. I like McKart. Major value in his odds.

for the ghosts that now populate the boxing forum...lol

gil helped my memory here

let me add a little something on the mckart/simms bout.....
if my memory serves me,simms won his title on a sort of a fluke...i remember alex "terra" garcia who had an unbelievable record, was k.o.`ed on the break....
as i recall, the ref stepped in to break them ,it was sort of a half-assed break as some of these shitty refs tend to do,and garcia left his hands down thinking the ref was stopping the action....simms jumped in with a big left hand while garcia stood there with his dick in his glove, and got knocked out....
i remember it now quite clearly...and i remember now thinking that both guy`s records were inflated and that neither was all that good...
the more i think about this,if mckart has anything left,he should have a real shot here...
simms is actually older than mckart...mckart is 2" taller....has a substantial reach advantage....and a very good chin...both are lefty`s(unless i`m getting senile at a very young age)....and mckart has already fought winky wright 3 times...i doubt that simms is better than winky...

and simms, before the flukey garcia k.o.,had fought absolutely no one...check it out....his competition was ridiculous...

so,unless mckart is shot,i may add another small play on mckart at +280...
still like the over if mckart doesn`t pull a garcia or a nate campbell...
was just thinking about this crap and it came to me....
do with it what you will....maybe mckart is shot..to many tough fights.....but,simms is no kid himself.....and he`s had walk-over type opposition prior to garcia....and caught a break there.....

one final thing....simms has one of the best cornermen in the business, whose name escapes me at the moment...thats a plus for him....
g.l.

You hit it right on the nail.

I remember watching that fight, needing Simms to win. And thinking... god, this guy sucks, no way he wins. Then the ref breaks them, and Simms hits on the break and gets the ko. But he got lucky with help from the ref. I said to myself... don't forget this guy, he isn't very good, when he defends his title, it'll be his last defence.

McKart is a re-born again Christian, coming into this fight with a very positive attitude. He's in shape, and knows this is his last shot at the title. Simms was also heavy on the scale, and had to go away and come back. Is he in shape???

I took McKart for 2 dimes.

lol...i sure didn`t drop 2 dimes on it...you got some serious stones there,gilbert...

so taking mckart at +300 is a no-brainer..i don`t think simms has had a real fight since beating garcia(12/03)....not good for him.....as i said,it`s been a long time since i`ve seen mckart fight...maybe he went the way of roy jones....we`ll see...

i saw the last mendoza/alvarez fight and i had mendoza winning....i`ll take him this time myself.... +115...plus i heard alvarez had trouble making weight...and alvarez is getting on...maybe mendoza can get over the hump...

the over in mendoza/alvarez is to rich for a straight bet but i have it parlayed....weeks ago...with winky over shane...

i don`t see how mayorga/trinidad goes the distance...took mayorga inside the distance(i forget what i got...pretty substantial) and trinidad inside the distance at +140...who`s gonna dance and box?....neither guy ever has,if i recall correctly...lots of latino macho b.s. being thrown back and forth....mayorga can`t box....and although tito`s no dancer,he seldom takes backward steps...what scares is that both guys will tire quickly due to the heavier weight and will end up in a ruiz clinchfest...i see mayorga getting chopped down if he can`t jump on tito before he gets into a rhythm...but,tito isn`t a fast starter...mayorga should get right after him...all that ring rust...that is why mayorga has a shot....he`s certainly nowhere near trinidad`s talent level...

i am also playing verno phillips as a dog...tread carefully...i may be the only one that thinks phillips has a shot...he`s older...and lost to ouma once...

phillips..(regarding the first ouma fight)...phillips fought in 01/98....stepped away until 06/2000 and fought a guy with a 3-7 record...had another layoff until 09/01 when his first fight back was with hot prospect ouma.....it was a tough fight with ouma winning.... he took the fight on 7 days notice(the fool)...and claims he didn`t even know that ouma was a lefty(a little hard to buy)..

that`s 5 rounds in over 3.5 years prior to fighting ouma...he wasn`t ready....

phillips has been on a tear since coming back....he has a belt...he`s reinvented himself...is fighting fabulously....although ouma is tougher than what phillips has seen since coming back...but i surely believe that THIS phillips will be ouma`s toughest test to date...he`s seen ouma once..and he`s been more active recently than ouma....i think that helps..

many think ouma is a champion in the waiting....and that i`m way off.....he might be....phillips is 33 or 34.........i`m gonna wait and take the biggest odds i can get with phillips...and take a shot..i know ouma`s been stopped once...via 3 knock down rule...and i thought he was beaten by a pedestrian angel hernandez...i really like what i`ve seen of phillips since coming back...he easily beat mckart and michael lerma...both tall lefties.....granted,not ouma....but still,blow-out wins...

but remember...he`s almost a 2-1 dog...those are substantial odds...we aren`t supposed to win...so if you play,remember this is a long shot...

i thought i had something big in braithwaite vs mormeck, but, mormeck pulled out...

to many dogs...i actually want to take williamson,too....i`m a glutton for punishment..lol ...i might go down in flames....hopkins was a huge score (for me)...if these blow,i`m still in the black.....

but, this could be a disaster..what can i say...i think these dogs have a reasonable shot....sometimes thats not enough...
i wouldn`t advise taking all these dogs...

ooops..i did take lacy at -140...there`s the favorite-loser...........very small...lol

g.l.........to those in the boxing netherworld...

Took Lacy for a tad. Not real comfortable but the deed is
done. Going to see if it's not to late to go under Trinidad
and crazy man. Just got back from a cruise so I haven't
been in touch.

Good call on Lacy. wow.. what a fight. Same with Tito and mayorga.

I picked up my wallet and it feels as light as a feather. Hmm.

also... Wladimir is a total Joke. He got lucky with the cut... without the cut, Williamson would have Ko'd him in the next round. Can't believe Emanuel Steward even bothers with this guy. He is totally shot. done.

Congrats, guys.

no congrats here....my night was basically a wash....

win with lacy...mckart/simms over and inside the distance with tito and mayorga....

lose with small dog plays on mckart...a bigger dog play on phillips...that one galls me...i really thought phillips was a real shot....and lose with mendoza by another split decision....when does this guy catch a break vs alvarez?....sheesh...

really pissed about phillips...he looked so good recently....talked about how ouma hurt him with a body shot in the first fight...and how he was ready...and he got hurt to the body again....i didn`t see this yet...i honestly thought that at 34 yrs old,he`d wear down ouma...much like pedestrian angel hernandez did....

i was fooling myself.....looking like a world beater vs a shot bronco mckart, michael lerma and julio garcia isn`t the same as looking sharp vs ouma.....i really want to see this one...

and mckart?....now we know why simms` people defended against him...he`s shot...he would get close to simms and wait for simms to punch him...he couldn`t get off...totally shot...and his punches didn`t have any zip when he did throw them...i hadn`t seen him in a few years....alot of water has gone under the mckart bridge in 2.5 years...i guess i`m lucky simms didn`t choose to press him...he could have stopped him and blew my over...

i should be happy after hitting big with hopkins...and a wash betting to many dogs isn`t horrible...

but i f-cked up by locking myself into a mindset....and i`m very unhappy that braithwaite/mormeck got cancelled....

trinidad was to sharp, even after the layoff ,for wild, wide punching mayorga...mayorga sure is tough...if he had even a little skill and discipline,he`d be a much tougher nut to crack....the straight puncher almost always beats the wide puncher...

i`ll be back to bitch some more after i see the showtime card...

You are right, Wladimir is a total joke. He is all offense, and when somebody throws a punch at him he looks scared as ****. I would love to see Toney fight him, and take him out. Yea im a sick man, haha. Anyways he is a total bum. Tito looked damn good in there tonight. Didnt know what to expect, but he is back. Can that guy punch or what. WOW
