Great game featuring the two hottest teams in the Horizon League. Wright State has won 6 in a row (5-0 ATS run) while Milwaukee has won 7 in a row (6-1 ATS run). Also, first place in the Horizon League is at stake, with Milwaukee at 8-0 and Wright State at 7-1! Wright State (10-8) is doing it with defense, allowing 61, 60, 68, 60 and 53 points the last five games. They had better bring the tough 'D' against Milwaukee's fast-paced offense (79 ppg). The Wisconsin Milwaukee Panthers (13-5) shoot 50% from the field and love to run, even on the road where they average 77 ppg. They have several strong scorers in 6’-3” junior guard Ed McCants (18 ppg, 51% FGs), 6’-8” senior forward Dylan Page (20.9 ppg, 52% FGs, 7 rpg) and 6’-7” sophomore Adrian Tigert (5.8 rpg). Wright State (10-8 SU, 11-5 ATS) is rolling, winning 6 in a row (4-0 ATS run). In fact, four of those games were on the road and Wright State was an underdog in five of them, by lines of +4, +13, +4, +3 and +7! They beat Detroit 67-61 as a +13 dog, and on Saturday won 54-53 at Butler as a +7 dog! Wright State is 4-3 SU/4-1 ATS at home, shooting 45% as a team behind 6’-8” senior forward Seth Doliboa (17 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-2” senior guard Vernard Hollins (14 ppg, 4 apg), while three freshmen -- forward Alex Kock, 6'-6" Andrew Burleson and 6’-6” Vova Severovas -- have been stepping up and contributing. Kock had 17 points on just 6-of-9 shooting in an 83-68 win at Loyola and in a 61-60 win over Ill-Chicago, Burleson had 14 points, 8 rebounds. The home team is hot, but the visitors have more guns.

Alabama clearly is missing leading scorer, Earnest Shelton (16 ppg, 2 apg) who is out indefinitely due to a knee injury. This is a huge blow for Alabama (11-5 SU, 9-4 ATS) and I was right to be concerned as Ole Miss dominated Bama 71-60 SU as a one-point dog there last game. Now Alabama comes Home to face Florida (12-4 SU, 8-4 ATS). I just do not see how 'Bama can quickly make up for 16 points a game from their best player. In their first game without Shelton they scored exactly 16 points less than their Road average. This just happens to be the points average for Shelton. Coincidence??? I think not!!! Florida is already the better rebounding team (36 rpg – 31 rpg). Bama looks to be in trouble the rest of the season and Florida will roll in Shelton’s absence!!!
