Battle of the Big Men in the Big 12! Colorado (10-5) has 7-foot David Harrison (16 ppg, 8.6 rpg) and 6'-7" senior Lamar Harris (9 rebounds per game) working the boards and they are 6-3 SU/2-5 ATS on the road. Colorado is off a 71-62 loss at Oklahoma State, so this is their second straight road game. Michel Morandais fouled out with 2 minutes to go and 7-foot center David Harrison played with three fouls throughout much of the second half, forcing him to be tentative on defense. Harrison and Lamar Harris each scored 13 points for Colorado, and Harris had 13 rebounds. Kansas (11-3) is coming off a shocker, losing 69-68 loss at home to Richmond. "Everybody is disappointed, obviously. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out," said Keith Langford, who led Kansas with 18 points. "But this is basketball. Nobody said that everybody had it all figured out." The Jayhawks dominated inside, outscoring Richmond 36-18 in the paint and outrebounding the Spiders 45-32. But they never established an outside game, missing their first eight 3-point tries and finishing 2-for-11 from long range. Kansas is 7-1 at home but 0-6 against the spread! The Jayhawks have 6'-9" Wayne Simien (15 ppg, 9 rpg) on the boards and with Kansas struggling from outside, this shapes up as a defensive duel of big men.

Oregon (9-4 SU, 8-5 ATS) likes the three pointer and is not a bad road team, so they may be able to hang in here against mighty Arizona. Oregon leads the nation with a 43 percent 3-point shooting percentage led by Luke Jackson (22 ppg) and Andre Joseph while 6'-11", 250-lb sophomore Ian C****white (13 ppg, 57% FGs) works the glass. Oregon is 3-3 SU/4-2 ATS on the road where they are outscoring foes by an 80-78 average!!! They just had an 83-76 upset win at Arizona State. Arizona (12-3) has rolled over UCLA (97-72) and Oregon State (109-75) the last two games. The Wildcats are 8-2 SU/3-6 ATS at home with a ton of talent, led by Channing Frye, Salim Stoudamire and Hassan Adams. Stoudamire and Adams scored 20 points apiece, making 16 of 21 shots in the process, to lead Arizona to a 109-75 rout of Oregon State. Arizona shot a season-high 63 percent (43-for-68). This shapes up as a shootout and Oregon, with its three-point shooting, may be able to hang in there.

This game will be deceptively good. Louisville is riding very high after crushing conference rival and previously unbeaten Cincinnati, 93-66 SU. Louisville (14-1 SU, 8-4 ATS) is smoking hot behind their star Francisco Garcia’s scoring and PASSING (15 ppg, 6 apg). Tennessee (10-4 SU, 7-5 ATS) is a very, very good Home team (9-1 SU this year). Their lone loss came to Kentucky by 1 point in their last game, 69-68 SU. Tennessee is posting 84 points a game in their gym and will give Louisville all they can handle. Louisville will need every ounce of defensive pressure (56 ppg on the Road) to keep up with the Vols in their gym. Louisville will HAVE to shut down Tennessee’s Guard, Scooter Mcfadgon (19 ppg) if they want to keep rolling. This is a BIG game for Louisville in order to receive more national attention, especially at tourney time.

The quickly improving Maryland Terps (10-5 SU, 6-6 ATS) gave Duke all they could handle before succumbing 68-60 SU. In that game, Duke had 44 rebounds, 21 of which were offensive. They just killed the Terps on the glass. We guarantee that Maryland will be boxing out a lot better in this game after Head Coach Gary Williams tears a metaphorical few “new ones” from some of his players. Sophomore Guard, Maryland’s John Gilchrist is really performing well (15 ppg, 5 apg, 4 rpg). Maryland now faces Clemson (8-8 SU, 6-6 ATS) at Clemson, and note that all of Clemson’s wins have come at Home (8-2 SU). They are a much better team at Home averaging 74 points a game. They are hoping to improve on their dismal 57 points a game in ACC games. Maryland dominated this series last year and should just get by “Clemmie” in this game!!!
