5 Units Louisville +5 (PUSH 61-66)

Louisville (R: 5-2 SU, 3-4 ATS; 7-4 C-USA), with their lowest point total in three seasons under Pitino, lost for the fourth time in five games 71-46 to TCU this week. Louisville shot a season-low 29 percent (14-of-49) and didn't have a player score in double figures. Larry O'Bannon's nine points were the team high. The Cincinnati defense isn't there, the offense isn't there, the effort isn't there, and the big wins aren't there either. The Cincy Bearcats have lost two straight following an 80-69 loss to UA-Birmingham Wednesday. The Bearcats held an 8-0 lead, then fell behind and made only a brief comeback attempt, almost exclusively at the free throw line. Leading scorer Tony Bobbitt fouled out without getting a point. Cincinnati lost despite holding UAB to 39 percent shooting and dominating in rebounding, 47-31. Not only has Louisville become a mere-mortal, they've sunk even lower than that. Louisville won the first meeting 93-66. Cincy might have had some problems with Wake Forest last week but they should be gassed up and ready to roll for Louisville. Prepare for war!!!

5 Units Missouri -11 (LOST 70-66) -5.40 UNITS

Missouri (R: 3-6 SU, 2-5 ATS) is coming to life, winning their third straight this week against Iowa State 82-70. Arthur Johnson had 16 points, 11 rebounds and three steals while Jimmy McKinney had 21 points and Rickey Paulding 19 for Missouri (12-10, 6-5 Big 12), which has won three in a row for the first time since opening the season. The Tigers overcame 23 turnovers to send the Cyclones to their 22nd consecutive conference road loss. Baylor is on a 1-6 run losing to Kansas 74-54 this week. The Bears (7-17, 2-9), left with only six available scholarship athletes, played a slow and deliberate halfcourt offense and stifled the Jayhawks with a tight zone defense through the first nine minutes of the second half. Terrance Thomas had 15 points and Harvey Thomas added 13 for Baylor, which lost its third straight against ranked teams. The Bears lost 84-58 to No. 11 Texas on Feb. 10, and 91-58 at No. 7 Oklahoma State on Saturday. Not a good spot for Baylor who just don't have enough game for the Missou big guys!!!

5 Units Auburn +3 (LOST 59-68) -5.50 UNITS

The most important story of this game is that it looks like Kentucky’s best player, Gerarld Fitch and undisputed leader (15 ppg, 4 rpg) still looks hampered by his recent injury. In UK’s victory against Arkansas (73-56 SU), Fitch shot just 2 for 7 and only played 20 minutes. Some of that loss of time may be from the blowout, but not the shooting. Those interested should still be wary until Fitch rights the ship in some manner. Auburn (13-9 SU, 8-11 ATS) shocked everyone, including us, by waxing LSU at LSU, 80-68 SU for their first Road win. Now Auburn returns Home where 12 of their 13 wins have come (12-3 SU). Auburn is going to be a tough competitor for Kentucky (18-4 SU, 8-11 ATS). Auburn scores 74 points a game at Home and only gives up 59 points. If Fitch is gimpy, Kentucky could be shocked!!!

5 Units Purdue -2.5 (WON 65-47) +5.00 UNITS

The Boilermakers (R: 4-5 SU, 5-4 ATS) have lost 5 of 7 after falling to Michigan State 62-55 early in the week. In a game where both teams struggled, Brandon McKnight scored 16 and Brett Buscher had 11 for the Boilermakers (16-9, 6-6). Purdue's top two scorers, Kenneth Lowe and David Teague both struggled. They both made only one-of-eight shots and combined for just seven points, nearly 19 below their average. Minnesota has a win in conference play thanks to a solid defensive effort vs. Michigan. However, Minnesota is allowing 73.9 ppg — last in the Big Ten. Their lone offensive threat is freshman forward Kris Humphries who leads the Big Ten in scoring with an average of 22.2 points and is also averaging 10.4 rebounds per game. If Humphries can get off some big numbers, the Cats could keep this game interesting, but the Boilermakers are hungry!!!

5 Units South Carolina -2 (LOST 66-82) -5.50 UNITS

In the realm of interesting injuries, South Carolina’s star point guard, Michael Boynton (9 ppg, 4 apg) was hampered in the Gamecock’s OT loss to Mississippi State, 79-75 SU, by a spider bite. In fact, the poor guy had to have the bite wound surgically removed after the game. The Gamecocks are having a fantastic season (20-5 SU, 11-7 ATS ) primarily because of their strong Road record of 7-3 SU. That and the fact that South Carolina is only giving up 1 more point a game on the Road than at Home (61 ppg vs. 60 ppg). Now that is good defense. South Carolina now travels to Arkansas (11-12 SU, 8-11 ATS). Arkansas is returning Home after a thumping at Kentucky, 73-56 SU. However, Arkansas, like a lot of teams, is much better at Home. Ten of their eleven wins have come at Home. Arkansas’ downfall has been their play in the SEC (3-9). They are giving up 70 points a game against the SEC, 6 points worse than their Home allowance of 64 points a game. Arkansas got past South Carolina last year. The Gamecocks may exact a little revenge here, but a blowout is not likely.

circled after Boilers loss to ST.They really
need this game to even have a chance to stay
in the hunt for madness.Witch I already think
they don't.They have really had a hard time in
the Barn over the years..But this Gopher team

7 Units Stanford -8 (WON 73-60) +7.00 UNITS

Stanford (R: 8-0 SU, 7-1 ATS) continues their march towards an undefeated season following a 76-67 triumph over Pac-10 rival Southern California Thursday. Josh Childress led the Cardinal with 36 points and Matt Lottich added 20 points. Southern California put a scare into Stanford right from the start, racing to an 18-7 lead 7 1/2 minutes into the contest. The Cardinal battled back and drew within 20-19 with 8:02 left in the half but the Trojans responded with a 16-4 run. UCLA (H: 9-5 SU, 8-5 ATS) is on a 2-8 run after defeating CAl 66-49 this week when T.J. Cummings scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Cummings held Leon Powe, Cal's leading scorer, to 10 points. UCLA made 14 of 28 shots in the first half in building a 30-14 halftime lead. The Bears missed 18 of 24 field-goal attempts and committed 11 turnovers in scoring 14 first-half points, a season low. The Cardinal remains the class of the West and defeated the Bruins 67-52 in January. The Bruins have talent and are playing defense but unless Cummings has a twin, the Cardinal remain undefeated.

5 Units George Washington -4 (WON 86-63) +5.00 UNITS

The stock price on George Washington (R: 3-7 SU, 4-5 ATS) has risen nicely as the A-10 season has progressed. They've won 6 of 7 including wins over Xavier and Temple. This week they defeated Dayton 66-64. The win moves the Colonials (15-8, 9-3 Atlantic 10) within a game of Dayton (20-5, 10-2). Mike Hall led the Colonials with 16 points, but it was Thompson and Omar Williams (13 points) that hit several big shots. The Dukes have lost four straight after this weeks 83-65 loss to Temple. Bryant McAllister scored 13 points to lead the Dukes (9-14, 4-8), who have lost six of seven. Kieron Achara and Elijah Palmer both added 12. GW has been picking up momentum and they beat Duquesne by 20 in the first meeting, the trend is your friend.

Interesting week for Cal (R: 2-6 SU, 3-5 ATS) who lost two games to Stanford 69-58 and UCLA 66-49. Against the Bruins, Leon Powe, Cal's leading scorer, scored just 10 points while Amit Tamir scored 13 points. The Golden Bears (11-11, 7-6), had won five of their last seven. The Bears missed 18 of 24 field-goal attempts and committed 11 turnovers in scoring 14 first-half points, a season low. Against Stanford on Thursday, USC (H: 5-7 SU, 1-10 ATS) threatened until the final minutes after the Cardinal blew an 11-point lead in the second half. Jeff McMillan led USC with 21 points and 13 rebounds -- one off his career highs in both categories. Rory O'Neil added 14, and Desmon Farmer scored 11, all in the first half before he got in foul trouble. The Trojans (10-13, 5-9) have lost seven of their last nine games. Cal escaped the first meeting 63-62 in January and now heads south. The Trojans are fading but they do have home cookin' here and have the scoring to keep this close.

7 Units Pittsburgh -6.5 (WON 67-58) +7.00 UNITS

Pittsburgh (R: 5-2 SU, 4-1 ATS) rebounded from last week's loss to Seton Hall with a resounding 75-68 win over UConn early this week. Jaron Brown scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half, four during a pivotal 11-0 run. Mark McCarroll had 15 points, Carl Krauser added 13 and Julius Page 11 for Pitt. Fot the Mountaineers (H: 10-3 SU, 6-3 ATS), Tyrone Sally had 20 points and Kevin Pittsnogle added 18 Saturday, and West Virginia nearly frittered a 20-point lead before beating Villanova 67-60. West Virginia's defense was dominant and its offense opportunistic in the first half. The Mountaineers held Villanova to 28 percent shooting in the first half, closed the half with a 22-4 run and led 37-18 at halftime. The Mountaineers are playing well, having won 6 of 8 league games. Pittsburgh is at the top of their game as well and are too deep and strong for WV this time around.
