What the hell was wrong with the forum this morning??? I was going to post my selections before work today and now I just getting back. Here are tonights top three selections:
20 Units Air Force -11 -106
Bad spot for a bad Wyoming team. The Wyoming Cowboys (9-10) are 0-7 SU and 0-6 against the spread on the road! The problem is a lack of offense, as the Cougars get outscored by a 73-62 average on the road. Wyoming has a decent backcourt 5’-11” junior Jason Straight (14 ppg) and 6’-2” senior David Adams (10 ppg), but Wyoming has lost 7 of 10 games and carries a 1-9 ATS run into this game! And Air Force is off its first defeat in the Mountain West conference. The Air Force Falcons (15-3 SU, 7-3 ATS) lost 63-50 at UNLV which ended a 13-game win streak. They are still in first place in the MWC (5-1), shooting 49% from the field and allowing 47 points per game! They are disciplined and play great defense while looking for the 3-pointer led by 6’-6” senior Joel Gerlach, 6’-3” junior Tim Keller (11 ppg) and 6’-7” sophomore Nick Welch. Air Force is 9-0 SU/3-1 ATS at home where they outscore foes by a 66-44 average!!!

After losing to Connecticut a couple of weeks ago, Pitt (R: 4-1 SU, 3-1 ATS; 7-1 Big East) has been on fire winning their three games since then by an average 16 points. This week they demolished St. John's 71-51, (after which the Johnnies proceded to self-destruct themselves) and now head to South Bend looking to sweep the season series. In the first game, Jaron Brown scored 19 points and Julius Page 18 despite free-throw woes as the Panthers edged Notre Dame, 74-71. For ND, Chris Thomas made 7-of-13 3-point attempts and finished with 29 points and Chris Quinn added 16 points while making 4-of-8 shots from the arc. Notre Dame (H: 7-4 SU, 3-5 ATS; 4-4 Big East), which held a 31-30 edge at the break, shot 53 percent in the second half (16-of-30) but allowed Pitt to connect at 65 percent in the final 20 minutes (17-of-26). Do or die for the Irish on Saturday, Pitt is in a seek and destroy mode!!!
10 Units Georgetown -3.5 -108
Second meeting in 7 days for Miami (R: 2-3 SU, 3-2 ATS) and Georgetown. Georgetown won at Miami 87-70 in overtime. Gerald Riley paced the Hoyas with 35 points and Brandan Bowman added 22 while for Miami, Darius Rice and Guillermo Diaz each scored 20. Both teams shot well in the game, and defense was at an absolute minimum. Georgetown (H: 9-2 SU, 1-5 ATS) won the free throw event making 19 of 24 to 9 of 13 for Miami. The Hurricanes can knock down the jumpers, but need to go inside in order to keep the defense honest against the UM guards. The Hurricanes, on an 0-4 SU run, have taken a significant step backward. Included in the streak was a pair of home losses to Villanova and Georgetown. Hoyas haven't done much better lately, but they have a winning experience against the Canes and are at home!!!
