Zimmerman acknowledged he was in active pursuit of the individual and continued the pursuit even after told by the dispatcher that police were on the way and that he did not have to do that. I've never had any in my neighborhood, but there was a car on the street that left the door unlocked and some punk kids tried to steal a backpack out of it. If I saw someone tall and dark with a hoodie on in my neighborhood I would be on high alert, but I wouldn't go chasing him. I can potentially see myself following them in a vehicle. But to get out of the vehicle and continue following them? That's just asking for a deserved fight.
