and remember the last national tragedy that gained political attention? The left tried to blame the Gabby Giffords shootings on republicans in general, some blamed Sarah Palin specifically.

I guess you forgot the wacky far right calling the shooter in that case a far left liberal. Why is it that you only recall the words of the left? No need to answer, we all know the reason.

[ Autopsy reports show Zimmerman had a broken nose, two black eyes, multiple lacerations on the back of his head - and Vitterd knew from day one that he was guilty, by just sitting in his living room chair. You can't make shit like this up. ]

Records detail George Zimmerman's medical injuries

The Associated Press
MIAMI —
Court records show George Zimmerman had a pair of black eyes, a nose fracture and two cuts to the back of his head after the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
ABC News reports (http://abcn.ws/K3tcvN ) the medical records were part of evidence released Tuesday that prosecutors have in the second-degree murder case against Zimmerman. He has entered a plea of not guilty and claims self-defense in the Feb. 26 shooting. A message left Tuesday evening with Zimmerman's attorney was not immediately returned.

Here's a released picture of his head...

But he still should go to jail for confronting someone with a weapon on his person. Trayvon had just as much of a right to feel threaten than Zimmerman did.

There is no way Zim pulled the gun before being assaulted. The gun was probably exposed during the fight and I would bet Zim's attorney's will argue that is when things escalated. My question would be had Zim not had the gun what would have transpired at that point.

The question is, would Zim have ever approached and followed the kid if he didn't have a gun. That's my problem with this whole issue. If you have a gun in your possession you should legally be required to avoid confrontations in which the gun could be used in self defense. And I'm sorry, if someone is following me in a vehicle and gets out to pursue me on foot... I'm taking that as a major act of aggression. Definitely an act warranting a beat down.

But I'm willing to bet based on how bad he got his ass kicked, Zim would never have approached the kid with out a gun as protection.

You guys conveniently overlook the fact that Zimmerman was doing his job. He was on Neighborhood Watch. The guy is a damned hero for having the ballinis to confront soimeone he deemed suspicious. Had Trayvon responded like a gentleman, we would never have heard of this incident which would have never gotten to the point of a beating or a death. It's really simple in my simple head.

That's not neighborhood watches job. They are actually told specifically that, that is exactly what they aren't supposed to do, lol. For this VERY exact reason.

He deemed suspicious? Yes, walking down the street, minding your own business while being black....very suspicious.

Hero? Lmao. The guy is a wannabe cop. A neighborhood watchman is not a job....if he followed me down the street like that he woulda got his ass beat also. Typical pussy that starts shit, gets a beating and has to pull his gun. Sounds like every NRA idiot I ever met.

Trayvon should not have been beating George's head and breaking his nose. George had the right to defend himself from that big brute.

"being black" is your racial prejudice, vit. You have no idea or nothing to substantiate that accusation. Truth is Zimmerman has black blood and tutored black kids on a volunteer basis. You say he's a wannabe cop. I say the guy is helping out in his community on several levels.

If I lived in a neighborhood where a rash of breakins were occurring, I'd be extremely grateful to anyone who was "watching out" for suspicious characters. I don't know what triggered the "suspicious" label for Zimmerman, but if he was my neighborhood watch guy I'd have his back if he questioned anyone who he deemed so. Since when is it a crime to ask someone what they are doing in your neighborhood?

Have you ever had your house/apartment broken into? I had a girlfriend who was broken into. Not only did they take all her valuables, setting her pretty far back in life, but she has to live with the fright of it happening again for the rest of her life.

Suspicious? If you're suspicious in my neighborhood you better have a reason, or I'm gonna make sure you know that I'm on to you and nothin' unlawful better happen. Tough shit if you don't like it. Keep out of my neighborhood.

Tutoring black kids means very little to me. It's like saying " I have black friends, I can't be racist." You think if a white guy in a suit was walking down the street he woulda been out there following him?

The guy called 911 every other night when the sun went down. He followed this kid when the 911 operator told him not to. Problem is...Zimmerman got more than he bargained for.

Blacks are followed everytime they walk into a store. They are always under more scrutiny. I'm sure they are more sensative to some wannabe following them around.

The kid was unarmed and not bothering anyone....he ends up dead...zim is reponsible. Those be da facts.

One other thing michelangelo...if him being black is my racial thing, explain this...you keep saying he is a suspicious character...what makes him suspicious? Walking down the street while minding his own business? Why is that a problem?

I am starting to doubt this even gets to trial. If it does, Zim will walk.

And, it was borderline disgusting how this morning Good Morning America soft-peddled this as a "new twist" in the case and not "breaking news" and waited until 12 minutes into their broadcast to even air the story. ABC definitely slanted the story to make these medical records sound like no big deal.

No shit.
The idiots that are the prosecution overcharged him with second degree murder.
Manslaughter they had a 50/50 chance, you can make book Zimmy will never get convicted on 2nd degree murder.

George was just being vigilant and keeping his community safe from bad people. Someone try to kill him and he defended himself.

What exactly made Martin suspicious? He was simply walking down the street returning to where he was staying after going to the store. Why was he suspicious? Is it rare for someone to be walking on the street at 7pm in this neighborhood?

I really don't see what is so difficult here guys.

The bottom line is this...did George Zimmerman feel his life or the life of another was in immediate danger of serious bodily harm or death? If yes, then he has the right to stop the immediate threat (I can see after looking at his injuries why he might think he was in big danger). If no, then he does not have this right.

So, did he or did he not think he was going to be seriously injured or perhaps even die? That will be for a jury to decide but once that jury sees those injuries on his head, two black eyes and a broken nose, I don't see any possible way to convict him.
