You are correct Russ, I am lost right now. You keep saying that Zimmerman did nothing wrong and did all the right things, yet you also say he should do time. And please stop saying he should do time because of political reasons. The jury is not made up of politicians and they will decide whether he does time or not. If Zimmerman did all the right things as you have said, then why should he do time?
Ok I will just retract that and say that Z should not do time. Now what do you have to say. Obama retracts things he says all the time. lol I have some sympathies for M but Z was the adult in the incident and he did have the gun. Like I said at the very beginning what we say on here does not matter it is up to a judge and jurty. I can see Z getting a manslaughter verdict and I can see a hung jury. Z did kill someone and I am not comfortable with that. I probably should have just said could not should. If you don't see the politics injected into the trials that revolve around race then I don't know what you have been watching. CNN is already referring to Z as a white/hispanic. In case you weren't watching live, those four minutes of silence were longer than the original "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel, which might seem like a fairly complicated tune but only clocks in at 3:05.
Those four minutes of eerie silence in the court were a powerful illustration--and experience--of what reasonable doubt means in the defense's theory of the case.
If prosecutors could not explain what Trayvon Martin was doing for four minutes instead of walking home--or running, as state witness Rachel Jeantel testified--how could they claim that Zimmerman had set out to kill Martin? If he felt threatened, why didn't he leave? And wasn't it more likely that Martin had lain in wait for Zimmerman and started a confrontation?
O'Mara's argument continued, providing jurors with an account of events from start to finish--which, oddly, the prosecution had failed to do in its closing argument, preferring to focus on Zimmerman's credibility.
The defense stressed the important of the "reasonable doubt" standard, noting that even if the jury thought it was "highly unlikely" that Zimmerman acted in self-defense, that was not enough to convict him.

Your response was that a "reasonable sane man would wait until they have all the facts before they say someone is guilty of anything".
