Iraq by Feb. 1st. I have to laugh at the left now, every time they say doom then you hear gloom and it never occurs. We heard we'd get bogged down in the mountains of Afghanistan like the Russians and lose, now the Afganis had elections. We heard the US would lose 5000 soldiers taking Baghdad and is was false. How many lies and stretches of the true can they tell before we discount the BULLSHIT until they get one right. Now they say we cannot win Fullajuh, it's not true. Now that President Bush can put the PC on the back burner look for Fullujah, Najfah and whatever other hold outs to fall in the next few months.

This is one mans opinion, I'm not Zogby or a highly funded exit poll, but watch and see. If they hang a line bet on it. Over and out.

You do know there is quite a bit of dissent from the right also? Or are you really that jaded?

cuss,

you've been wrong on 90% of everything you've posted in the past, however, I'll give you one more shot. what are you talking about? are you saying that some on the right believe we should retreat?

The honeymoon will be over before then ...

sorry, Bush is abrasive and with Cheney calling the final shots, nothing is going to change ....

We are in for 4 "very challenging" years and actually gonna enjoy watching the Bushies start to panic when reality sets in that Bush / Cheney are in control

You wanted the combo Skull & Bones Member / Freemasonry ... YA GOT EM!!

Considering the fact that we've been doing the same thing over there for like two years....am I really suppose to believe that 2 or 3 months more of engaging in the same muddled stategy is going to produce an outcome where we can leave come Feb 1st?

Best case scenario by Feb 1st we leave the country with a weak government.....as we leave the bullets will still be zinging over our heads.....and don't walk by any parked cars either, because that Yugo might be like the rest of them that blew up.....shortly after we leave the leaders that were put in place are found dead on thier own doorstep from multiple gunshot wounds....

Yeah, I'm sure there will be plenty of tourist agencies opening up thier schedules to include a BEAUTIFUL TRIP TO DOWNTOWN BAGHDAD come February.:biglaugh:

Marco - we'll never leave Iraq - They're our new base of operations over there. As long as the US has such a complete dependency on Mid East oil, we'll maintain a strong presence there.

Iraq is about as central and strategic location as you can find!

A burdgeoning dcapitalist democracy is our best bet to maintain a lasting alliance and presence with Iraq.

Well...that, and we needed a base of operations in the Middle East. Iraq is the lucky loser. Saddam and his f*cked up sons made the choice easy.

All the gloom and doom libs ever say is that invading Iraq will make more terrorist.

Do you think that the terrorist are saying right now "If we attack the USA we will make more Americans?"

They should have.

on the other hand, do you believe all the stuff that has caused you to fall in love with Bush?

I hope I am wrong .. just dont see it as the Neocons only understand the use of Military power as their solution to most situations

If I am wrong, I will be the first to apologize ...

Another doom and gloom prediction is wrong. You see the trend, they predict doom and gloom hoping for failure that never occurs.

the only thing you were wrong about is the left predicting we would fail there.

no article or poster thought we would fail there except maybe eek and that is understandable given his position.

4 times the soldiers this time than the last go aroud with an increased weapons capability it was quite easy to figure we would be succesful.

Rob,

Many in the liberal media said Fallujah was their stronghold and we'd be unsuccessful. Now they say most of the fighters left, which I doubt. Sure some did, which proves not all of them are prepared to die for Allah and the 72 virgins. Which means they can be defeated. This was a huge victory and shows the Marines are truly the backbone of America.

"This was a huge victory and shows the Marines are truly the backbone of America."

The jar heads are the back bone of the country, the service that let's you in as long as you manage to spell your name correctly on the asvap.
If that statement weren't so comical it would be scary.

Yup.

Mission accomplished.
The troops will be home by xmas 2005.

Elections in Falluja were a huge success, all eight of the surviving adult inhabitants had voted by five PM.

The Diebold machines specially flown in for the election showed initial results of George Bush 78,000 votes, Iyad Allawi 8 votes.
Electoral officials said that there were some software issues with the Diebold machines that needed sorted, but they had full confidence in an accurate result.

the book is open

Elections will be a success in Feb and Iraq returns to being a normal country with no foreign troops by Christmas 2005

+800

All of the above was one of Gameface's wet dreams

-1000

Meanwhile, with the dollar falling, my short position is showing a solid +$400 profit. It expires on 8 December but I intend to roll it over for another couple of months.

The dollar is a buy if and when a credible long term strategy involving no further mission creep emerges in the White House. As it is, he has just lost his most able guy in Colin Powell (albeit he was tainted by the "a WMD under every bed" speech at the UN in 2003).

The dollar is also a buy if the US shows any desire to tackle the pressing economic problems.

No sign of either of those events yet, so if anything I might be inclined to double up my short position.

"doom and gloom"

"flip flop"

"spin"

I love how empty right wing rhetoric substitutes real thought.
