I made believers of this barbaric idealolgy look like a fool today, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

Capitalism is in fact the only net beneficial ideology in the world today. All others are predicated on the use of coercive force, usually at the hands of the state or another central authority (church, patriarch, oligarch, etc.) Capitalism is the only base philosophy that is dependent upon mutual consent of involved parties.

By making someone look like a fool, I sure hope you aren't referring to this thread, where you state that capitalism is a system of class assignation via inheritance, that humans are naturally evil, that I (and apparently Michael Jackson) are examples of perfectly ordinary folks, and a couple of other points so obscure I couldn't even tell if I agreed or disagreed with them -- but you couldn't be troubled to clarify when I asked. I think my favourite part of the discussion was when you called it off because I made the "crap" assertion that people are good. What a sad fúcking excuse for a life you must have, to be that disapproving of your own species. I thought capitalists were the cynical misanthropes?

Of course, you might not be referring to that thread.

But places without any central authority have always struggled X, like the Bushmen they get buried by more organised heirarchal societies via hostile takeovers.

More recently we have East Africa, where opportunity exists, there are billions in private cash sloshing about, and nothing particularly unique has occured.

Nothing like, for example, the flourishing private economy in Somalia, a country with no central government, taxation, welfare etc. at all? This is not unique in today's world? What does it take man?

Which is of course the inevitability that Phaedrus doesn't seem to mention -- central authority would no doubt re-surface in a new form.

Hard to imagine I never addressed this, as you've brought it up numerous times. Yes, somewhere sometime in a "perfect" global anarcho-capitalist society, some dude will certainly attempt to become a king or mullah or what have you. It is 100% certain. There is unfortunately not a solution for the fact that sometimes human action cannot be dictated by spreadsheets and such. Rather than have an entire system breakdown because of this fatal flaw that is inherent to all social systems, let it run its course. Maybe a large section of the world's population would be happier under a totalitarian state. Or a democratic state. Or a theocratic Mandatory-Orgies-For-Artemis state. People are going to naturally cleave to like-minded people, and sometimes those of like minds are going to have stupid or disastrous ideas.

It takes one guy with a corrupt mind and a lot of chips to phuck every one over. It's pretty much happening in America right now, so you can see my distaste for it.

What? Who is the guy to whom you are referring?

Not speaking for eek, but maybe bush and his assorted ideologue nut jobs? Keeps the rich happy with tax cuts and on the working classes he slathers just the right amount of flag waving and bible thumping to keep them stuporous. All the while setting up the Neo Cons as the de facto fascist government for the foreseeable future.<!-- / message -->

Starting from the begining is a huge waste of time.

And that's all it is. A start from scratch.

You just admited it won't last phaedrus, so why push it as something superior?!

Of course it looks good at first. So simple. Try a paradox for a change.

No need to get snippy. It's possible I've overlooked your replies. I don't read every single word in this forum after all.

Not exactly, but there is an element of "going back" in what I guess I'd like to see in political trends (although, as previously stated, to me all of this is just discussion for the sake of trying to learn -- I honestly don't care if the whole world becomes a socialist dictatorship or a subsidy of the Nakamura Corporation tomorrow.)

Not what I said or implied.

This is another one of those times where I genuinely do not understand what you mean. Will you clarify this time, or ignore the question as before?

Wasn't intended as snippy; was merely curious. I know it's come up several times and would be suprised if I'd never responded, that's all.

You are right, I took something you said wrong somehow.

This is another one of those times where I genuinely do not understand what you mean. Will you clarify this time, or ignore the question as before?
Paradox, I mean have'nt you thought about the aftermath and what eventually happens?

I think the worst. I think of 8 year old kids dead from the flu that could'nt 'reed or rite' .

I went to a site that explains capitalism and under education it refered to public schools as 'concentration camps' which kind of lets me in on the mindset of people who believe in this. (http://www.capitalism.org/)

And then there is the whole issue of corperate power potentialy ruling the people in an unjust manner. Extreme example, lets say walmart eventually owns everything, and the only way you can work is for them and for .50 cents an hour with no healthcare with 80 hour weeks. I am sure these things must have crossed your mind.

I think it would be peaceful, but there is no gaurantee of that. And it would seem progress amoung the people becomes severely limited.
