Let me say something first and foremost: This is actually a huge deal. Trust me, nobody studies baseball over/unders more than I do, and I think I have proven that here on a daily basis with my thousands of words of original writing every single day. With that close examination of the schedule comes paying attention to the little things, such as the few nights where this is an obnoxious amount of overs compared to unders, or vice versa.
That being said, THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE IN MY YEARS DOING THIS. This is just one of those fascinating things that requires a ton of attention because it's so rare. Trust me. I mean, it's even tough to recall a day where every single game was an over or every game was an under in a SHORTENED schedule (Even as few as 7 or 8 games). I assure you that if this has ever happened before, it's been at least a few years. As I've stressed several times throughout the year, the Law of Averages exists much more than you might think, so for something like this to happen on a full 15-game schedule, it's truly mind-boggling, and I appreciate you, Coolie, for pointing this out. I thought I might be one of few people who noticed this, so I'm glad to see maybe a significant number of others also realized what took place tonight.
Yes, technically one of the games was actually a push (Dickey vs Turner), but for the under to go 14-0-1 in one night on a full schedule... I can't stress it enough, we'll probably never see something like this again for at least a few years, if not more. Unbelievable stuff
