Ok Wainwright just pitched a great 8th for the Cards. I am guessing but I assume they will pull him in the 9th but why? Give him a batter in the 9th and if that fails then pull him. He could cruise through the 9th too.
I just hate bringing closers in just for the sake of bringing them in.
I know closers need to pitch often but I believe in letting the best person pitch. If Wainwright is on fire, let him out there for the 9th too.

I was wondering the same thing he only 91 pitches. Unless he is hurt then Phil Garner is a complete idiot. Make sure you get that .189 hitter up there Garner and let your bullpen which is the worst in the lead pitch the last 3 innings. Horrific managerial decision. Trevor Miller gets worst pitcher of the year award walking John Rodriguez after being up 0-2 to get to Pujols. That lose hurts. Pujols is amazing though he never stops.
