if alabama is not the best team then who is lol? number ONE recruiting class in skill players. 5 year senior qb in jp wilson. dominating defense and offensive lines. nick saban confusing genuis defense. all the depth at wide receiver and rb positions. 31-0 AT the preseason number one in the nation. hell if alabama played in big 12, wac, and pac 10 wed look like oklahoma too right now lol...just 2 or 3 years ago this same team was number 3 in america before losing their last two. and last year all our losses were by 6 points or less. so if alabama is not the best team in america? WHO IISSSS? PLEASE STAND UP PLEASE STAND UP
alabama is probably the 10th or 12th best team in the country. but all that matters right now is that they are playing exceptionally well and only going to get better. but teams like southern cal and ohio state, who will be ranked behind them next week, are still better than the tide. saban doing a great job though.
southern cal is still 10-14 points better than alabama on any field, including tuscaloosa.
this is not an indictment of the tide. they are well on their way to being a national force again soon. but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

those 2 are right there with bama in terms of being 'fringe' top 10 teams that can beat absolutely anyone and also lose to absolutely anyone.
people who dont understand football dont know what to look at. my dads a coach so i have a good eye and many others do on here too...its all about mentality first! discipline.least penalized team in nation and very focused. then it comes down to defensive strategies, not offense. our d coordinator is none other than nick saban himself. then its the line of scrimmage, bama the offensive and defensive lines!! thats where battle is won and lost. then it comes down to other things people are only looking at. like hollywood and media skill players and darling boys. most people look at who the media says are the best teams because they either dont know how or too lazy to study football games.
I respectfully disagree with you.I am sure you can make a case for few of those teams but I could never imagine anybody who would think georgia is a better team after getting whipped like that in their own stadium.
It seems as if you are juding these teams worth by how good the "so called experts" told all of us how good some these teams were going to be.
