I can't recall a middle reliever winning MVP .

Nope and they never will. But in watching all the games this guy has been so valueable it is unreal. That is my point. Funny thing is you have people making comments who do not know him as they do not watch the Sox. They look at Paps or Beckett in the box scores and do not see what we do in watching him all the time.

Since last season: 40 saves in 42 opportunities.... 1.95ERA.... no wonder the Dodgers are 27-0 when leading after the 8th inning this season.

Forget other teams middle relievers. I have watched this team and their situation and the actual games, I am telling you that Okajima has been so valueable it is unreal. Without him we lose a handful of games more at least. This guy has been a machine and gift from God thus far.
