Red Sox third baseman Bill Mueller will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday to help relieve symptoms of an arthritic condition, team doctor Bill Morgan said Tuesday. Mueller is expected to be out for 6 weeks. The surgery will be performed in Phoenix by David Zeman, the same doctor who performed surgery on Mueller's left knee in March 2002. Catcher and first baseman Andy Dominique will be recalled from Pawtucket in Mueller's absence and is expected to join the team Tuesday night. Rookie third baseman Kevin Youkilis will play in Mueller's absence, manager Terry Francona said.
