Rutgers...XXXXXXX high school team beat them Saturday!

Damn Straight. Rutgers was BRUTAL. Wazoo State plays terribly in their opener showing NO thing to have confidence in then travels all the way East and has their way with The Scarlet Knights. Fuckin' Embarrasing for Rutgers, truly. As Painful & Humiliating a loss as a team can manage. BUNCH of Sharp Bettors on Rutgers here, as it should have been. The Loss I can handle, we will lose 40% at the least but the incompetence and sheer suckdom of Rutgers is gonna take a while for me to get over. I thought I saw they go to Penn State next? I believe that it was showing Rutgers +10 ?

Most immediately the idea of laying 10 with MecklenBurger or whatever the phuc his name is and Penn State ain't a thing I'm enthused about but I sure do want Revenge.

WSU didn't have their way with Rutgers if you watched the game. Rutgers killed themselves with turnovers and penalties. Rutgers scored to take the lead late but it got called back.

Right now, I'd say Miami. They were life and death to beat a horrible Redskin team with a joke of a starting QB. Only a punt return TD saved them. Washington moved very well on the ground against Miami's vaunted front.

Didn't Miami dominate the 2nd half after getting down 10-0?

Granted Washington isn't a good team regardless.

They were down 10-7 at halftime. They didn't exactly dominate the Skins in the 2nd half. Without the Punt return TD they might have ended in a 10-10 tie. I don't mean to say Miami stinks, they don't. But maybe not as good as the hype.

You wanna give them a pass because they had to resort to Illegal Tactics to try and stay with Washington State?

In Rutgers own house?

Scarlet Knights DID grab the lead late, ref musta missed THAT Illegal Pick or Hold thus were they able to score. To Win the Game.

To Win the game that is....Unless you're Rutgers or The New York Giants.

What are you, from Jersey enfuego? Commence I guess to telling me NYG played that last act vs. The 'Boys well and as they should have I s'pose. WSU rolled right down the field when it most mattered, directly after Rutgers saved themselves. Rutgers could do absolutely nothing to stop them. 1:37 on the clock? beginning of that Final Drive? maybe even less.

It was totally embarrassing enfuego. One could see from the start of that Drive that there wasn't any way that Rutgers was gonna stop Mighty Wazoo State.

You know exactly what I'm talkin about. Team you're backing seizes the lead late, miracle cash for ya but you just know its gonna evaporate, that they are gonna find a way to lose it. NYG ML Bettors know what I'm talkin' about for sure....that wound is also Fresh. At least they covered The Spread though. Rutgers did too, for about 64 seconds.

Despite the fact that they are the Superior Team and the line had moved strongly in favor of Rutgers, even crossing The Key closing at -3.5 maybe even FOUR and you with a sweet -2 but still you just know they're gonna blow it.....

Rutgers was totally outclassed by The MIGHTY WAZZOOOOOZ on that Final Drive. Wazoo Rolled right down the field like a Hot Knife thru Soft Butter or a Famished Fat Guy from Elko at The Golden Nugget Buffet when they've just put out a brand new tray of Pipin' Hot Bacon enfuego.

lots of love (read hate) for the Colts in this thread

upon further reflection, I'm going with the Broncos. They're going nowhere if Peyten has a noodle arm, and Payton has a noodle arm.

Dolphins are a good week one choice too, played horrible against a horrible team

Eagles and Vikings officially make the list, although the Eagles at least rallied and may have won if Chip doesn't make three bad calls in a row late in the 4th (maybe hold off on judging the Eagles)

Bears and Titans and Rutgers cannot be called overrated, they have to be somewhat respected first

Patriots. A geriatric running back piled up yardage on them, and their secondary was really no better. Ben threw for over 350.

Yes Brady and Gronk but they're not going to face swiss cheese secondaries all year.

Don't get me wrong I don't think NE is a bad team, but I don't think they're winning 12 games either.

Too early to call Indy overrated, that was a tough road game.

Willie99,

Didn't the Bills beat the Patriots 34-0 or something like that week 1 when the Pats won the SB that year? It was the year they released Lawyer Milloy.

yes, and people were calling BB an idiot

last season after the game 3 blowout in KC, there was more premature overreacting

so while I like to push buttons and initiate discussions, I know it's only week one

does that make you feel better? :)

That was 2003 when the Patriots cheated the Colts in the AFC Championship game. Peyton doesn't play in blizzards.

39 yr. old Manning was worst I saw 18 yards was his longest completion that was a 5 yard pass with a YAC. I remember when his teams scored what Thursdays total of 42 is! I think he needs to say a Hail Mary instead of Omaha!

Other games I saw;

GB/Bears..... Bears except for Int. (great read by linebacker) would have won game.

NYG/Boys...... Call TO b4 last FG clock not running after in-completion and get heads together :ohno:

2-3 week 1

weak 2

KC see manning above
Pitt Rots could throw for another 350 yards
Bears need to run ball
Seattle as said somewhere must win situation
Indy Luck isn't Manzel

They are the definition of overrated. They are #1 in the power rankings and they are not the best team in the league. Lotta holes.

Not hating, just calling it like I see it. My only motivation is to try to make money as the season wears on.

You and most others thought the Pats were going to win by 40, and a banged-up Pitt team gave them a good game in Foxboro. So obviously even you might have thought a bit highly of them (or were you underrating Pittsburgh?).

The definition ofoverated is saying team A is not that good and the majority of people disagree.

If most people agree with you that team A is overated that means they are not really overated.

We won't know who's overated predictions are correct till a few months from now.

Maybe this falls under the category of underrated.

Most people don't know this but Sunday we had a preview of the NFC championship game and umfortantly Zona took a big step towards home field advantage throughout the playoffs Sunday.

But at least the saints will be playing in a warm stadium in January

Your definition of overrated and mine are a little different.

Who do you think should be #1, 2 or 3 in the power rankings right now? Whoever you say probably has a lot of holes and flaws of their own as well. Like I said in a post on the previous page, all of the elite teams from the past few years appear to be a little worse this year.

Being ranked #1 when there is a lot of parity at the top but really being like the 4th or 5th best team isn't very overrated. Being ranked 6th or 7th before the year when you are really probably closer to middle of the pack is overrated (i.e Ravens imo)
