After watching this game, I realize the GSW have no chance vs the Cavs

Cleveland will try to beat golden state at their own game, playing small ball. Anyone remember who the MVP was last year? Not green, not Thompson, and not curry.... Kevin love will be huge if clevekand is to have any chance.

We we all saw what Lebron could do last year and still not win, I would only expect golden state to be better than last year as well.

Golden state got beat when Steven adams was on the floor, why Billy D went small and let them back in no one knows. But I bet cleveland just about forgets they have mozgov or whatever on their bench.
Not speaking specifically to the stretch when GS erased the lead but in general the Warriors had "solved" how to attack him on D for the most part. He had a great series but they weren't winning that battle anymore, had to go small and matchup. It's tough when every single guy on GS can shoot and pass and Curry started playing better. Helped that Adams was getting hacked downlow and they were letting them play as well. Green and Iggy got a lot of leeway.

Mozgov had offseason knee surgery and just hasn't been the same player since. Last years version of him would've definitely would help them in this series, Bogut will have a much easier time with Thompson than he did with Adams. He is much smaller and doesn't really get off his feet that fast. Adams was a tough matchup for Bogut.

As far as Love goes, yeah he needs to dominate the smallball lineup but I don't see him being able to do much on Green. Just too tough of a matchup.

Actually think there is a reasonably good chance Love gets benched in this series since Frye has a quicker release than him and is better defensively.

This is going to a big problem for Cleveland. Neither Frye nor Love can guard.

Clev got a problem because Love cant play defense and GS knows this. there is a reason GS is -240. Vegas doesn't give money away

Everyone is focusing too much on the 73 win regular season. That was epic but it was vs a variety of mediocre opponents.

This is the playoffs and the competition is better....both the teams you play and how hard they play. Golden State played playoff basketball all season. OKC, Cleveland, Spurs, are only playing playoff ball in the playoffs.

Vegas has GS at -240 to keep things up and up

Everyone choking.

Do teams ever just win sporting events to you guys?

Crazy OKC is such a choking team and they beat the Spurs in 6. Lol the Spurs must suck bad.

Exactly. Why does everyone have to think someone choked.
Its the most overused word in sports.

OKC played a hell of a series. KD and Westbrook are far from losers and choke artist . GS just would not be denied . Let's give them credit

I think Cleveland tried to play a slowed down pace last season due to all the injuries they had.
This year since they are healthy they are going to play more up tempo which playes more into the hands of GS then the
the way they played last season. So there is a chance they could be worse off this season then last simply for the fact that they will be playing more into GS style.

They were basically a half court team last season which can confuse GS. This year they gonna try to run with them and it could hurt

No matter how they play, the Cavs are a way better team right now than they were last year. Not just having Irving and Love, but the other guys are better. Dellavadova, Thompson, Frye, Shumpert

If they are worse off, it is because Golden State is also better this year than last. But i don't see that happening

Of course GS is better than last year. Almost all of their core players are better. Curry, Klay, Green and Barnes. Bogut is healthy.

Cleveland has a better chance to win because they're healthy but besides LeBron they just don't have much chance to stop GS. They will need LeBron to just go nuts and run good from 3 while GS doesn't shoot it as well. Considering the type of looks GS is going to be getting, this won't be easy.

Iggy on Lebron, Klay on Kyrie. ...and Draymond Green will absolutely OWN Kevin Love.
Bad enough that Love can't play defense.

Huge back court advantage to GS. Yes, huge. Clev back court got destroyed by toronto guards. JR smith gonna hold Klay? Irving on Steph?

So, the better back court, better coach, and home court advantage? Steve Kerr is licking his chops watching tape of kevin Love "defend". I thought both Donovan and Kerr coached great series and really adapted to situations. I do not have faith in Lue, but hey remember, this is the guy Lebron wanted.

Well said. First time in 2 years Kerr actually had his ego checked. Hats off to Donovan. Kerr will steal Lue's lunch money in this series.

While Cleveland did go up 2-1 shorthanded last year, this year's gsw squad is much better
I think gsw will win this in 6 again

Gsw's matchups on defense are heavily in their favor imo

Shdw did say GS is too tired to pull it off. They need some 5hr energy from the convenience store or else all those advantages won't mean anything.

The bottom line is you're dealing with a basketball team vs a team with 2 magicians. I agree that they aren't that good of a team, and OKC was clearly the better team in that series. But it's like a circus freak show with these two kids. Thompson has great footwork and body control, and just needs a tiny window to get off his perfect form shot and would be the best shooter to have ever lived, if not for Curry. Curry is just out of this world. He doesn't need to be on balance, he doesn't need to be square, he doesn't need to follow through. He just needs to throw it towards the basket, and it goes in. It's just almost a different sport altogether, and for that reason, they are probably going to win. Cavs will blow them out one game when they are cold, but I doubt they can win the series. These two kids are just that good.
