All year i thought the SEC was a step or 2 down from previous years, they lose so many underclassmen to the NFL eventually it catches up to you. I originally liked auburn in the title game but i think watching this game tonight gives me reason to think twice. SEC defenses have not been great and FSU will be the best defense Auburn has faced and with out a doubt the best offense.

Starting to think FSU wins this thing by 17-21.

Anyone else thinking like this?

I think you will see both teams light up the scoreboard.

Didn't need to see this game to convince me that FSU will boat race Auburn. Bama got lit up by several good offenses this year, lets not forget the 900 yards that Johnny Football put on them. SEC was grossly overrated this year.

I didnt need Alabama to shit the bed to bet FSU, but this certainly makes me more confident that FSU is the correct side. The mighty SEC "powerhouses" of Georgia, LSU, Alabama, A@M have all loooked pedestrian at best, and 2 lost as huge favorites. Stoops was right, the SEC is a tad overrated this year. I think Missouri is next to fall too.

Look what FSU did to Duke- they destroyed them 45-7. Duke was fairly even with A&M in that bowl game, in fact led most of the time until the let down in the 4th. A&M led Auburn in to the 4th Qtr at College Station. Duke, A&M, Auburn all were fairly matched with each other. FSU is on another level entirely this year. Kudos to Jimbo and forget Mickey Mouse!

That's true. Anything can happen in big games when you have that much talent on the field. First impressions are sometimes the worst impressions. After Baylor dropped their BCS game to UCF the night before, I heard many say that the Big 12 was going to get killed, especially OU. After Pac-12 teams USC, UCLA, Zona and Oregon tore their opponents a new asshole in their early bowls, the line for that Stanford/MSU game just kept going up up up based on conference performance. But every game and matchup is different. You can judge teams by their conferences, but the problem is there is a little thing that always comes into play in these big games, the point spreads. I have no doubt that FSU can beat Auburn, but I do have my doubts they can cover. You've got a team and a coach from a conference who hasn't been in a BCS title game in many years. Lots of pressure there, especially when you are made the favorites. Auburn won this game just 3 years ago. They'll be coming in freewheeling it with nothing to lose. After Bama went down in their bowl game it wouldn't surprise me if the line for this game kept creeping up based on what the public just saw with Bama, and could be double digits by the time they kickoff. Even more pressure on FSU.

I like FSU to win, but why or how, would Bamas trouble with uptempo offense vs the Sooners, affect Auburn who also gave Bama fits with tempo?

Exactly. Comparing the two is not accurate in trying to determine the outcome of the NC game.

I personally have no ties to Bama and am not an SEC chest beater, but the hate for Bama when they lose is hilarious. I love reading how Bama was "not that good", "overrated", etc. They finished 11-2...I guess that's a down year?!? Sounds overrated to me. I guess people will just bash them unless they are undefeated holding the Sears Trophy. The price you pay for winning 3 of the last 4 national titles. Just my 2 cents
