It's certainly not a movie for everyone and I do expect a lot of college kids to hate it too. I phrased that kind of crappy, making it seem like I only think 50 year olds will hate it.
But it didn't really win anything monstrous at the Oscars. Aaron Sorkin DEFINITELY deserved best adapted screenplay, top 3 writer in Hollywood, bar none. Then The Social Network won Best Music and Best Editing. Awards only die-hards care about.
King's Speech was definitely the better movie but it was a lock for Best Picture, anyway. It was perfect Oscar bait.
Also, overall, 2010 was a bit of a weak year. Inception was good but the more I watch it and read about it, the less I like it.
Winter's Bone was the Picture of the Year for me.
