Hello RX fam, it's been a while. It looks like my wife and I could be moving to Tampa for work. We have a 4 month old but have usually lived around downtown in the last few cities we have moved to. Anybody here have suggestions on places to look? I'm not concerned about school districts, just a nice and safe area. Any input is appreciated!
I did not insinuate Tampa was not safe in any way...I was merely saying South Tampa was safe cause its a tourist area and near the stadium etc.
He mentioned that he is used to downtown areas and the places you mentioned (Carrollwood, Wesley Chapel and Land o lakes) are nowhere near downtown in case he wants to go there or work there.
Since her contract will likely be for 2-3 years at a time, more than likely renting. I have the money to buy, but not sure if it's worth the hassle if I have to up and sell in 2-3 years. If this looks to turn into a place where we are going to be for a considerable while, I will buy. The lasts two cities we have lived in 2 bedrooms condos (renting from condo owner) for $1650, and $1800 a month. Don't know what that will get me in Tampa, but I don't mind going a little higher for a safe and nice area...
