AD had an acct with SBG sports book. He was placing bets while at practice on his cell phone. His gambling trial ended in a hung jury when ONE black female was the only one that held out for acquittal. Afterward he pleaded to a felony. Bowden was told of AD gambling on football games the previous season well before that current season started but closed his eyes to it. Mr. Smith is right, the thrown game was the NC State game.
It is amazing to me that the NFL has completely closed their eyes to this previous and documented behavior. So much for having different sets of morals and principles for different situations. The NCAA banned AD from ever playing college football again but it is ok with the NFL. OBTW, Bowden was told the night before the NC St game by asst coaches that AD had told them that he was into some bookies big time yet Bowden still started him. LT
