Highly recommend going 7's suggestion if you can, these days seems as though having an agent to handle the $$$$ transactions are a must or at least a hell of alot easier.

What is the problem with an echeck directly
from your personal account in the amount of
$800 or $900, done a few times in a few
days. Or how about firepay basically the
same thing done with your own personal
account. Keep the amount reasonable and
do it enough times to reach your desired
amount.

Rules are simple:

1. If the transaction is 10k or more, or is 10k in total in a 24 hour period, a CTR (Cash transaction report) has to be filed with the IRS with your tax ID.

2. If the transaction is 3k or more and it is "suspicious" which these days is just about anything unless you have a business account or have done such a thing requires them to take an ID and keep it on record for a year. Generally these records don't get to the IRS, but they are there for evidence should the IRS have reason to investigate you and figure out where you go to bank.

Those are the rules. They only apply to CASH. If you have 15k in a bank account and use it to wire offshore generally that doesn't get reported unless the bank gets suspicious. So if you are patient and can go the gradual money into Neteller and maybe a bank wire in a couple weeks you would be under the radar, but put quite simply there is no such thing as getting completely under the radar short of doing it with an account in a foreign country and leaving no trace of doing it.

I made a deposit through Western Union the other day and it was for over a dime and they wanted your drivers license, social insurance number to keep for their records. This is what they do in Canada not sure how it's in the us.

Here's a link to a CTR form with instructions:

Here's the SAR form:

You can tell a lot by reading the forms, and in particular, the instructions at the end.

This is getting scary. Today I had to go to the bank to "unlock" my debit card. It would work in the ATM, but not as a debit card in retail places. The reason they "locked" it was because I had made two separate charges for $1K using my debit card, and that was "outside of my normal pattern." The charges were about a week apart, and were to an off-shore book.

The ironic thing was that I had purchased a widescreen TV on the internet about 2 months ago for $1400 and there was no consequence. Maybe this time the problem was that I did it two weeks in a row, or maybe it was because it was to an off-shore company. We didn't get into the details; they just verified that the two latest "transactions" were done by me, and then they unlocked the card. They said that they tried to call me first before locking, but I think they had an old phone number.

And, in case you're wondering, I made up half of those first week losses last Sunday.

netteller is the way to go
takes a while but should be the least conspicuous, comes out of bank account and keep amounts under 3k. only shows going into netteller, from there it is fine

Maxdemo,

I'm sure the feds are well aware of the "simple" ways to move money around. Nothing mentioned here is rocket science. They are slowly trying to choke off the easier methods with some success(Western Union/Credit cards). They'll have a hard time trying to stop the old check in the Fed-Ex pouch though, as long as it's not payable to Angelle's Sports.

Senditin;
Good point but just like you said they know the "simple" methods but I am sure they will tell you they dont know every method.
