an awful day on Saturday as I went 0-4-2. Lost 2 games by the hook when last second free throws were missed and both of the pushes came the same way. was 4 points from being 4-2 on the day, but these things happen. Onto today...

To me Maryland is going to be the kind of team this season that is going to be involved in alot of close games. My thought is to take them when they are getting more than 5 and fade them when they are laying more than 5. Statistically these have been two similar teams this season and I don't see Maryland as a team that is dependably consistent enough for them to cover this number. Maryland is all about Vasquez and though he is a very nice player I like Virgnias potential to limit his ability to create. My line was UVA + 6.5 and even then I leaned to the Cavs so @ 9 I like a nice sized play on the Cavs. BOL to everyone today, I will have more later...

** Duke Blue Devils -19

I had this line @ 17.5, so I will play this one a little more cautiously than I wanted to, but to me there is really only one side to play in this game. NC State is averaging almost 20 TO's a game in conference play and that weakness is going to play right into the Duke gameplan. Duke prides itself in its tenacity on the defensive end. I expect they will press all game long and force alot of turnovers from the weak NC State guards. State is capable of playing some of the lower level teams in the conference, but they are very overmatched against these kind of teams with tenacious Defenses and athletic lineups (Wake, Clemson Duke, etc) State has some talented low post players but if you can take them out of their half court offense it really limits their effecitiveness. This is also a team that has some chemistry issues so if the game gets ugly early it would not suprise me to see everyone get selfish and forget how to play as a team. Against a squad like Duke, that would be disastrous...

With a spread like this you have to wonder about the motivation of the big favorite. I don't expect a late let down as Coach K felt disrespected by Wake jumping his team in the polls and I'm sure he will convey this message to his team. I think Duke comes hard all game and this one gets ugly.

Will also have a play on the over, but I am holding off while I check on some things. I expect Duke to score 90 so this game should cruise over the current total.

** Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets -2

Looking at this game I see BC having major issues with their interior defense, allowing 46% fg shooting over their last 5 games while being out-rebounded by 3 rebounds a game over that span. I expect GT to pound Aminu and Lawal all game long. BC should have alot of foul trouble in this game. GT struggles from the line this year but they have improved somewhat, getting their percentage near the 60 percent mark over thier last few contests. BC will also struggle to exploit the struggles of GT to control the ball; their defense is only forcing 12 TO's a game in conference play.

If the eagles get hot from 3, I could see them coming away with this one but I see them playing from behind the whole way. Will make this a smaller play just beause of how awful GT really is, but they should win this game. I think GT is probably the worst team in the league but this is a good match-up and a good spot for them. Jackets by 8.

Gl 2n. I have came close to betting GT twice today but I think I am going to lay off because I am still unsure on them.

no problem guys, if I was able to influence a play, I'm glad it was my winner and not my two losers. Hopefully everyone stayed away from the other ones...

Tomorrows card shapes up real nicely to me as an acc player. I really like FSU and Clemson and I lean towards Wake. The first two will be at least 3 star plays. My lines for these games were:

UNC -9
Wake -17
Miami -2

So I see definite value on all 3 games. Been a little cold lately so I will take my time making these plays. BOL everyone..
