State is playing great ball right now but the Terps are also much improved. Both teams appeared to be at sea only a month ago and both have rebounded nicely. I just see this as a game that the Terps need alot more than the Pack. Marylands weakness is size and rebounding and though State has more size than the Terps they also struggle on the boards. I just don't trust this NCS team at all to play as a favorite. Maryland has struggled on the road but their schedule has been very unfavorable away from home (@ clemson, duke, unc, miami and FSU are the losses in confernce).
I think that while State has a slight advantage in the post the Terps are going to be able to exploit the matchups at the guards. Vasquez in particular has always been a wolfpack killer and I expect nothing less from him tonight. State has improved with the play of Smith and Gonzalez but I just see a big time let down effort from the both of them tonight. Smith isnt a big guy but he is able to use his athleticism to score and I think he is going to struggle against the Terps quick frontcourt.
Also, there is a chance of snow in the area for this game, and I know its going to affect the home attendance. I know of 3 people from my group who have already decided not to go tonight. It is going to hurt the energy level @ the rbc tonight and can only help the road team. I hope my Pack wins this game but I have a gut feeling that they just don't have it tonight. Terps by 4..
Not a lot of write-up from me here as I'v already started pregaming and I am leaving shortly for the game. Also leaning towards the under but its not a play as of yet.
